Still a Sylvanas Loyalist

I guess I wanted peace for a while now instead of trying to rekindle this dying war after every time we work together to defeat something. But if you’re still a ‘patriot’ of your faction I guess your stance makes sense up to the ending cinematic of the war campaign. Calling the whole Horde a bunch of tin soldiers is not quite easily misunderstood I’d think, but the brain always is less receptive to things that do not fit our view, whereas it seems to fit mine just fine so I guess the dissonance stems from that.

I guess that one is as good a reason as any! It makes perfect sense that you’d not want to end this story on a sour note if it’s your initial draw to this game.

Thank you guys for humoring me here for a few words! I hope Sylvanas loyalists get the ending they deserve, not only us, while I’d like to think the anti-Sylvanas side is the “good side” I do think that if they gave people a choice to choose a side, neither side should feel they got set up for a disappointment! How will they pull that off is a bit more challenging I guess but we’ll just have to wait and see. (Maybe we get to never see her again while you can still have the occasional tea party with Nathanos, The Dark Lady, and whatever death loving creatures they attract.)

If they leave it open ended , and each person gets to have the journey they chose like a Sylvanas loyalist gets what we want with the story, and vice versa , this will make the WORLD feel more realistic instead of just oh we are all this agenda deal with it !

Also relate to this, I agree with Tyrande wanting to have proper revenge for what happened to her people and will follow her if there’s gonna be sides on Alliance.
In the end, tho, I’m always cheering for Sylvanas over anyone else

Tbh im reaaaaaally hoping for an undeath faction, I love everything with a death theme. Shamans are said to use spirit and decay magic, I think in chronicle. If Shamans use decay then they are connected to death in a way and should be able to pick forsaken shaaman? or nah? Or even better, SanLayn Shaman.

I have a Sylvanas theory which I doubt will happen , but the visions she saw when she died her “hell” I think it was Yog Saron playing with her mind since she was impaled by Saronite (his blood) , and thats how her paranoia started do whatever she can to master death , and avoid that place !

My theory can also be debunked by ok then where does the Valkyr go that took her place.

Im a softy I just want her to have a happy ending with her sisters !

I don’t get the hate for Calia. I mean, with her on board, Blizz could even set the stage for more human-looking forsaken, perhaps as an allied race.
Besides, there’s always been times of great change, and Calia returning to her rightful throne is just another one of those changes.
The same goes for the removal of the Warchief system and replacing it with a council.

Keep in mind she was brought back by the light, somethings stirring there. Not sure what to think of it, dont fully trust her. Even think her death might have been plotted cus she knew Sylvanas would kill her when recognized. Prolly involved Eonar in some way.

Calia can give the Alliance light undead , she is afterall Princess of Lorderon , and now only living (undead) member of the Royal Family, but to those that still appreciate that Sylvanas liberated them from a MENETHIL’s doing The Lich King I feel have an obligation , and a devotion to the Dark Lady ! I mean I want my Dark Rangers sooooo bad I want the ones that died during the scourge invasion the ones that were always present.

Edit

But in no means do I want Calia medeling with Horde lore, Horde customs she will be the anchor of peace between the factions , and I do love the war in warcraft

I used to have a few friends who worshipped garrosh. One of them would get angry at you if you played a race other than orc.
… I have like 18 gnomes. =D

Another one, who was at least friendly, has Garrosh at 153 in Heroes of the Storm.

If only those gnomes were leper gnomes, he might have believed them being young orcs

If I could share images like everyone else, Grumble grumble I have a few gnomes with barbarian and berserker Xmogs. Very orcy. =D

I love faction war too, but my heart ultimately lies with the forsaken and Id prefer a full on undeath faction. I also love Blood Elves though, Ill just spare Belfs when Im out there killing all the living in sight lol

You’re kind of reaching there but alright.

Pre-Legion Sylvanas was enjoyable. Everything that came after turned her into a terribly written character.

You do realise that you could get war without the two main factions having a go at each other?
There are other, more sinister forces to fight than the opposing player faction.
You can still have peace on one end, whilst fighting a bigger, more important war.
If Blizzard is smart, they could even have pockets of rebellion, where players can enter PvP despite there being peace between the two factions.
These pockets could be stirred by none other than Sylvanas, or her loyalists.

I dont know which dev said that the game is bigger than the factions, so that is instantly how I interpreted the you are all nothing, even lore speculators said the same thing ! The ending cinematic is further justification , she also could have annihilated everyone , but she chose to go away , she did win the makgora there was no cheating involved, Makgora rules has to be stated before the battle nothing was stated, some would argue that magic is forbidden , but shalamayne is an elven crafted sword that has a personality of its own , also no NPC said she cheated, but instead she decided to fly away give them a happy moment before Nzoth ruins it

Blizzard aren’t that shrewd in their writing. There are very few times when their writing is anything but obvious, and if they were going to vindicate her they would have done so already. Instead she is now maligned by both factions with Night Elf Sentinels and the Farstriders actively hunting for her.

Every patch from 8.0 to 8.2.5 basically shoved yet another evil act into our faces that made her akin to a moustache twirling comic book villain. It turned her in my view into a very goofy character, and though I understand Sylvanas fans want to see the “best” in someone they’re rooting for it’s unlikely Blizzard’s writing is changing the direction they’re going in with her unless it’s Kerrigan 2.0 which would be even worse.

In the eyes of the loyalists I have not seen reason to doubt her, but I do get what you are saying, and the logic in it which is why I mentioned up in my first post that I do hope they have something better planned instead of her being ruined !
