Still missing LFR

Hello,

I know the topic of LFR has been discussed countless times, and I realize many players disagree with it. Still, I’d like to share the perspective of someone who has been playing World of Warcraft for more than 15 years.

Over the years, my life has changed. Like many players, I now have a full-time job, family responsibilities, and far less free time than I did when I first started playing WoW. Because of that, maintaining a regular raid schedule or finding a consistent guild group is simply not realistic for me.

While I have played Retail, I prefer Classic content. The nostalgia, the world, and the original expansions are what keep bringing me back. However, one thing that has become increasingly frustrating is being locked out of raid content because I cannot commit to organized raiding.

When LFR was available, it gave players like me a way to experience the story, the environments, and the culmination of an expansion’s content. It wasn’t about obtaining the best gear or replacing organized raiding. It was simply about being able to see and experience the raids ourselves.

Without LFR, a significant portion of the game’s content becomes inaccessible to players who still love the game but no longer have the time to participate in scheduled raiding. It can feel discouraging to invest time into a character only to know that the final chapter of the journey is effectively out of reach.

What I find particularly interesting is that some modern conveniences, such as the updated UI and interface tools, have been accepted in Classic. If those quality-of-life features can exist alongside the Classic experience, why is LFR considered unacceptable?

I understand that many players value the social and organizational aspects of raiding, and I respect that. I am not asking for LFR to replace traditional raiding. I am only asking for an option that allows players with limited time to experience content they would otherwise never see.

I know this may not be a popular opinion, but I hope Blizzard will continue to consider the needs of players who have remained loyal to the game for many years, even if their lives no longer allow them to play the way they once did.

Thank you for reading.

If I remember correctly, they did try to implement LFR mode with the Dragon Soul patch (towards the end of Cataclysm Classic), but the task proved much more difficult than expected, so they simply abandoned the project and came up with some flimsy excuse to explain their failure or lack of manpower to do so, because let’s be honest, the Classic team is tiny and are barely capable of implementing the core content without bugs everywhere LOL.

Ragebait used to be believable

Accepted ? .. more like force feed without options to not use it
