STILL no Flying in Zandalar in Dragonflight

I have been reading online that we would be able to fly in BFA zones, in Dragonflight, without having to do the pathfinder BS achievement yet, I just logged onto a character that is in Zandalar and STILL can’t fly!
AM I missing something or do I STILL have to waste half my life doing stupid achievements that I don’t want to HAVE to do?

I was also wondering about that.

In the time you all moaned about it you could have easily done pathfinder. its really not very hard.

But BFA was one of the worst expansion

and the allied races took so long to unlock them by exalted reputations

and made me quit wow in 8.3…

If you don’t like bfa don’t come to Zandalar. If you want to fly in Zandalar complete pathfinder in Bfa.

from what I understood though they were removing that requirement.

I don’t know anyone with a new account, myself included, that’s going to go back and do 100 world quests on the two islands just for the flight unlock.

As it happens, the character that I logged in Zandalar is in the process of doing the pathfinder achievement, mostly because I HAD to do it to fly there.
I was very happy to read that, as with previous zones and expansions, the stupid achievement was being dropped as a prerequisite for being able to fly, as with Legion. In Legion I still did a LOT of stuff there but it was/is way more enjoyable as I can CHOOSE what I do and with flying is much easier, and enjoyable, as a result.
I was hoping that BFA zones would be the same, especially after reading that it would be.

They haven’t remeoved Pathfinder achievement? Lol!

So yeah, now when a new player comes to the game (if such a thing even happens anymore), and gets a quest to learn flying, goes and learns flying, then expects to fly, but noooo, hold on first you have to run fron turtle to turtle completing like 3 different world quest that spin around every day for like a month or so.

I think they changed their minds because of some stupid reason like they don’t want new players to fly…? I really don’t know. It may be available later on in the DF expansion.

It usually takes a little while if I’m not mistaken, maybe as far as 10.1. It’s one of those quality of life features that is usually added in minor patches (x.x.5 ones and the like), much like the Auto LFR queue npc and so on

Indeed not, just time consuming, but then there were long months for it.

S4 began in August and I was done by the second half of it. That leaves 3 months for all these achieves.

I can feel for the newbies though. :frowning_with_open_mouth: They do have one way to circumvent it by making a class trial, as it unlocks Chromie Time and lets them pick the other expansions. Pick any non SL, and you can fly :slightly_smiling_face:

Now it wouldn’t be justified to remove it in my opinion. It’s too recent .

To get is is made easier and reputation is not hard to get because it gets thrown at your face in bfa. 2 weeks maybe? doing dailies, its just that.

edit: and if the reason you don’t want to do it is, how bad it is. Than why do you need it :stuck_out_tongue: you dont want to go there.

you are meant to do the content, not skip it at first.

If you ask me, a good compromise is to remove the reputation requirements from pathfinder as it is by far the worst timegate for it. Everything else requires effort but can be done relatively fast. But grinding tortollan rep is something I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy.

Do the pathfinder achievement, it takes like a week. I don’t understand, why do you play the game if you hate playing it? Those BFA zones are beautiful, I’d love to do something there again.

it’s about PROMISES not being kept!
and no one asked for any tips blabla!

This. I have part 1 completed but took a break in 8.3 until Shadowlands and couldn’t be bothered to farm stupid Mechagon reputations after that. You don’t need it for allied races anymore so it’s even more pointless now.

Getting Tortollan to revered would take longer than that. Ankoan/Unshackled rep isn’t that fast either.

Eh at least there you can get about 3k rep daily while Tortollan or Nazjatar rep it’s about 1k daily and you’re praying for an emissary quest.

Exactly, they hate BFA, but want to fly there  What?

Where? I would have doubted they’d unlock flying without pathfinder in BfA so soon. Look how long it took for Legion and WoD.
