This! I’ve heard in interviews about account wide stuff: Ion saying he and his team has been rather stubborn. I’d say they still have a long way to go to change that.
There’s still things in TWW that I go: Why? As it still feels like introducing inconvenient things for the sake of it rather than thinking of what is fun for the player (it’s a whole lot better now than what it was before DF though but still).
I agree.
I can see that having something like this in DF to allow Vomit Flying (stealing Puny’s term) to bed in was probably necessary.
But it’s a mature feature of the game now. Players either love or hate it by now.
But if Bliz are minded to still place requirements on it then at least these requirements are minimal.
Do you actually suffer motion sickness from it? I’m curious because if people do suffer motion sickness we should really start a thread (ideally on the US forums where the devs actually read stuff) to argue that forcing people to either do it or be restricted to ground mounts is ableist on the part of the devs and is in direct opposition to the changes they’ve made to make the game more accessible.
My only thought: How will this affect Monk’s Zen Flight?
Something I loved from my time playing TWW Beta, was that my Monk technically always had access to both flying types, by using Zen Flight as Steady Flight.
Whilst you are in the new zones you can’t use the other form of flying. Until Pathfinder is unlocked. If Zen Flight requires regular flying I’m presuming it won’t be available. Though I’d love to see Zen flying in skyriding form Doesn’t sound very Zen
