Only posting it here because I can’t start a topic on the beta section. For those not in the know, the new The War Within Pathfinder gives steady flying for all your characters. It’s just silly that we have to play through the whole leveling campaign and explore Khaz Algar to do it. Normal levelers get the choice between skyriding and steady flight straight away, yet with TWW you’re borderline stuck between either SR or going on a ground mount. We deserve to have the choice like levellers get, not path-find ourselves to a flight mode yet again.
I’d suggest just outright removing Pathfinder and extending the steady flight thing to work from 10(?)-80. Not just for the above reason, but also because some people like to go at their own pace (I would like to at least explore the world normally before flying through it like a maniac), and there are also others who have disabilities who’re affected by SR. If you can do that makrura-spider toggle thing, surely you can do the same thing here.

Pathfinder was a thing added because blizzard ran out of new content and a way to earn few more hours of gameplay.

What do you mean by this? “Normal levelers”?

The people from level 15 or something to 70. Earlier for Dracthyr, according to
The War Within Alpha Preview | Dynamic Flight - Feature Overview on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TECgInMqq5w).
I hope that this achievement isn’t locked and waiting for them to deem us worthy of being able to use slow disadvantaged flying. Whilst I don’t appreciate having to be stuck with vomit flying until I can level through to max if it can be completed on launch/EA then it’s not as horrendous.
I do think Blizzard are bonkers implementing pathfinder. It’s like they can’t let go of bad old systems they dreamt up in WoD when they tried to remove flying from the game.

Dragon riding was a joke ( I mean it was fun) compared to normal flying. Having to land down to kill few mobs just to recharge my vigor
True dream of a warrior.

They really should allow it from the start, would reduce a lot of bottlenecks at launch due to some people being slower than SoO RP
Its a very easy achievement but seems a bit useless.
We are bringing death from above !
Did you hear that the speed is being upped?

Collect the runes and know what your doing and you can get almost anywhere on the map without landing. L2p
It’s not too fast that it makes me feel ill though so I’m fine with that.
They just need to drop this dumb old system. Just like they had to get over their obsession with not having account wide progress.

I agree.
It’s so silly to treat 2 forms of the same thing differently in such a way.
It’s like letting players run and jump, but saying: You’ll have to unlock walking at max level after doing all the storylines.
And with the devs being aware that there are players who are still having physical issues with skyriding, makes this decision tone deaf as hell.

In beta I spent so much time running around on the ground, it really slows you down but I have little choice.

Does not make any sense to me to be forced (and unlike with many other pain points brought up on the forums in the past, the usage here is apt) to speedrun through the scenery of the new zones during my first leveling experience of the new expansion.
A lot of people buying the expansion are not even in the know about this pesky little detail + about the 5 sec cast time.
It is spite and spite alone.
I love your respond with L2P.
Keep it up dude.
Imagine you are allowed to only RP walk at the begining of the expansion and needing pathfinder for normal runing.
Wasn’t steady flying added as an accessability thing for people who struggled for any reason given with dragonflying? or just don’t like it, but also because some struggled?
Personally I can’t see myself going back to steady but I imagine this must be a slap in the face for people whose inner motion sensors don’t respond well to the speed or motion animations shown on screen.
Sorry arachnophobes crab mode is only available if you clear the raid with the really big spiders first

Does seem ok to be able to do it straight away and with just leveling once to max level and explore the zone.
Pathfinder was awful when it came in x.2 or x.3 with a dozen rep grinds and other reqs like find X treasures or whatnot.
It’s not a big requirement, sure, but it’s completely uncalled for in the first place.
There’s no such requirement for skyriding.
