Stop destroying talent trees and reasons to enjoy class

FIRST OF ALL, I THOUGHT TALENT TREES WERE MADE FOR PLAYERS TO DECIDE HOW THEY WANT TO COSTUMISE THEIR GAMEPLAY

SERIOUSLY ?! AS A PRIEST IM DEVASTED THAT YOU WANT TO REMOVE MIND GAMES OR ANY OTHER ACTIVE SPELL BECAUSE PLAYERS THAT HAVE OPTION TO NOT TAKE IT DECIDED THAT ANOTHER HALF PLAYERBASE THAT WOULD ENJOY FINALLY HAVING MORE IN TOOLKIT SHOULDN’T HAVE IT TOO JUST BECAUSE.

PLAYERS THAT DON’T WANT THAT MANY ACTIVE SPELLS, DONT HAVE TO CHOOSE THEM, THEY CAN CHOOSE ANYTHING ELSE FROM PASSIVES OR DEFFENSIVES

PLAYERS WHO WANT TO FINALLY HAVE MORE IN TOOLKIT AND ARE BORED WITH 12312312 ROTATION, ARE NOW SCALPED OF THEIR DREAMS BECAUSE YES

LET PLAYERS COSTUMISE HOW THEY WANT TO PLAY, NO ONE IS FORCED TO CHOOSE THEIR TALENTS PATHS, THESE ARE NOT DAMN BASE SPELLS

I feel you, with talent trees returning I had BIG HOPES that we will finally be able to put more in our toolkit and finally be able to use skills we didn’t have chance to previously, and I even think blizzard even said it themselves that this is the reason they bring back talent trees- to have better chances of playing the class you want.
Unfortunately it sounds good only on paper as they really made us having exactly the same classes with forced builds, and where it wasn’t a thing, they changed it really fast to dumb it down or to cut that and that so players that play this game 2hours a month will not be confused with skills they don’t even have to pick

I don’t even have hopes for blizzard not removing options anymore, There were thousands of threads to bring back MOP class design, because since Legion we got it so shallow that kids are able to play it. If you see the new talent trees they did EVERYTHING in their power so you won’t be able to choose more active spells than you have now. In addition now they are deleting another active spells XD
I fear that blizzard think they can pull up with the same class design ( no new skills, no expanded toolkit, but 5 IQ requirement for 4 buttons you have to smash in PVE ) And while we finally had chance to change it, because talent trees aren’t a force, NO, they won’t fix that.

Maybe stop SHOUTING and people might listen.

There are things that don’t make sense. For example the pala holy has no base dispell, you have to get it from talents. On top of that, the dispell for talents only works for poisons and diseases, it doesn’t work for magic dispells. Conclusion, that the pala holy does not have a dispell for magic

So you are complaining that they actively thinking about your class? Maybe you deserve to get the rouge developer team on priests then.

Did you even read what I wrote about ? How is that caring about class? they just prune it and don’t give it possibilities to grow

I’ve talked with two priests of my guild and they were mostly fine with the arguments they brought up. Also priests are not the only class losing some options and active spells… So calm down and first try how it feels. If it’s bad burn down the forum but not before trying

ALSO, NO, I see my talent trees and I dont see anything new, or exciting there, to me the most exciting part was that I finally could use more spells as shadow priest so it wouldn’t remind of playing arcade game with 2 buttons .
Also why would I start crying on forums AFTER FACT? they won’t change anything after expansion release
Every release of expansion here are tons of players leaving cuz they aren’t satisfied with their class, and switching to other class that is based on 12321321312312312312123 rotation as well IS JUST NOT THAT, no wonder people run away to Final fantasy where you have around 10 skills in rotation

More buttons doesn’t correlate with more fun. Bloated rotations feels equally as janky and boring as empty ones. Specaily when more than half the buttons are just a whack-a-mole where you push them as they pop up or in a sequence every 1.5-2 minutes.

Also, being a recurrent FFXIV player I can tell you rotations aren’t all that more complex than here and overall slower in comparison to WoW, APM wise. Not to mention, healers gameplay is completely awful (for most of the time, you’ll be pretty much spamming your nuke spell and that’s it) and has received lots of complaints for years and from both EN and JP community, with no sign from the devs to actually do significant change.

These kinds of posts just repeat the trend of taking the most simplistic metric for class design (amount of pressable buttons in a rotation) ignoring its nuances and then go with “other games does it better” while they’re completely oblivious to their nuances too.

I agree with what you have said but what an obnoxious way to post all in caps really hurts the eyes to read.

They will give us Cata in 2024 and MoP in 2026. Zero reason ever to play beyond that point. DF is step to the right direction, but Class designers are now just throwing in things.

Their team is not big and good enough. Maybe 11.0 or 12.0 finally feels more like Cata or MoP, but their own and unique way ofc.

Also there is zero guarantees that that 11.0 won’t suck again under Microsoft. What the hell do they know about WoW? Nothing.

Dragonflight is kinda good atm funny thing is priest doesnt need an interrupt, also people need to wait before they cry rlly they even didnt played DF yet

The problem with the talent trees - as so many things in the game - comes from Mythic content, be it raids or dungeons. Everything has to be tuned so the Mythic crowd isn’t complaining that class A does x better than class B and class C has to be viable too because stupid time limits in dungeons, world first yadda yadda.
