Stop forcing lone wolf on mms hunters

Rn its in good place, optional to take and good skill, in next build you switch it again with hunters knowledge which makes lone wolf pretty mandatory.

Hunters are often taken as only bl having class, so please, let players decide if they want lone wolf if they don’t want to, what was problem with it when lone wolf was position AFTER Hunter’s mastery??? dont change it or put it on sides…

*UPDATE
IDK IF YALL CANT READ BUT I NEVER ASKED TO REMOVE LONE WOLF OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT, WHOLE POST IS ABOUT NOT MAKING IT FORCED

A hunter without a pet has always seemed strange for me thats why i could not play MM but stick with BM as i get two.

MM Hunter without a pet is the only Archer spec I have left, DO NOT TRY to take this away from me.

But they could and should balance all 3 options so we have more personal choice thats what i am saying and so is OP.

I like it like this too. Two pet specs and one pure archer spec.

The worst thing about lone wolf is that mms hunters have to choose between utility/survabiblity tools and flat throughput. It’s a choice we shouldn’t have to make, and that most classes don’t have to make.

Sure, every classes have to pick talents and whatnot, but the impact of that one single choice for mms hunters is way bigger than it should be.

Last time they flat out removed an option, I refuse to trust Blizz on Hunter.

Remember when we could our pet’s spec ?

Can’t you take out the bloodlust pet and then dismiss it?

So… you don’t want a meaningful choice…

What a shock… Not.

This is a good example of a meaningful; choice and when players are given one they complain. I don’t envy Blizzard.

Why would an archer need a pet. That makes no sense. A hunter having a pet to damage makes no sense either.

You can, if you lust at pull. There’s more than a few bosses where this does not apply. I mean you can still dismiss it, but you have to stand still for 3s, potentially dying or hindering your team.

So you can’t summon the pet during combat?

With another class getting bloodlust it should be a much smaller issue. Have they said what class is getting it?

You can of course, but you will then loose your 10% dmg buff. That’s my point entirly. It’s not a choice we should have to make.

There’s more to that, also. As a lone wolf, you get a defensive cooldown. You can still get it with a tenacity pet, but those can’t lust.

The whole design feels bad imho.

It’s always good to have choices, I’m not saying we should not. BM and SV hunters having to choose what they bring to the group is fine.

Loosing 10% dmg and a dmg reduction CD for one group utility though, that choice doesn’t seem fair to MMS hunters.

Not even talking about PvP, a situation in which having pet is essential to the hunter’s ability to stay alive.

If you dismiss it after casting does the buff not come back?

That’s a meaningful choice.

over time, it starts at 1% and slowly rises to 10%.

Not a choice if its forced onto as its the only choice to perform well.

You have my seal of approval

It’s a choice on whether you provide raid utility by sacrificing a small amount of your damage, for what appears to be a short time.

The way the OP framed this is that they lose 10% but that’s not true, they get the pet damage AND from what the OP posted it’s got a ramp up time. I might look into it tomorrow but the OP seems to be complaining over very little.

I hate wow pets, they are buggy and always in the combat.

Strange only fight i have had problems with all expac was with herioc Sire no other problems at all.

Seems like that to me too.

If I’m the only class with access to herosim/bloodlust in a M+ group, I get pet out to be able to use it to the benefit of the whole group. That 10% loss is not that big of a deal.
