Stop forcing players to do dungeons

Might just have been the servers I played on, Bloodhoof and Draenor.
I can’t remember it being hard to get help or a dungeon going during Vanilla and TBC ( which I’m reffering to ) either with guild or others in capitol city.

To come here and complain about certain requirements for said reward ( in this case allied races ) is so childish it’s beyond me.
If yoy don’t want to put the effort into reaching the goal, then you don’t deserve the reward.

Just beacuse you pay a monthly fee to rent an account so you can log into Azeroth is not a good enough excuse.

None of those professions were undoable at all. While some recipes were in dungeons and raids most of them were not. So many recipes were boe and sold on ah. Many were available on repuations. On Alchemy flasks were behind dungeon but we didn’t need them anyway, enchanting was super easy to do, you pile your bag full of dusts and went to ulda as lvl 60 with a friend and just learned everything there on one go. Blacksmithing at BRD yeah that was pickle sometimes, but again most recipies were not requiring it. And there was so many recipes to learn and make it wasn’t big deal if you could not do them all. It was just scraps that were missing instead of not being able to do content you wish.

Now there is so much less recipes, less looks, and less interesting item on professions. There is less special mats you need to slowly grind here and there. While it is probably good thing for many it is also less things to do for people who enjoyed that kind of thing.

This went a little bit off topic but reason i explain these things is that there seems to be many people here who don’t genuinely see how things have slowly changed for some type of players and therefore certain requests seem to annoy them. If you never played that way yourself from the start it naturally is very hard to see which things were possible to do and which were not, because you were not in that position. And then requests like done in OP must feel pretty annoying because they make a very little sense. This is why i try to explain how it looks from other point of view.

Also want to clarify that on case of my group of friends, it never was like religion of “never stepping foot in the dungeon” but more like “we like to do other things more”. Some of my friends left, some are still in game and i am too. When it has been things like pathfinder i have been just doing them but when there is more and more things requiring something i don’t enjoy i just don’t do it. And while i am personally not going anywhere anytime soon, having seen so many friends to go because of it it makes me sad. I see no reason to drive people away from game when their existance is not hurting anyone but brings submoney into the game.:peace_symbol:

All the allied races are behind rep walls that were current when the allied races were released, the status quo on AR is consistent

Sounds like the typical whining of someone who wants all the rewards but not willing to do the tasks required for them. Dungeons are literally strongholds of the enemies you are facing in the world. It makes sense that questlines will lead up to that and that they might have some specific stuff you might want.

I really dont understand why people are mentioning mythic dungeons troughout this i finished all the questlines in kulthiras and not one quest led me to to a mythic dungeon

Stop being so overdramatic, you dont see me complaining that i want the arena and rated bg rewards for free just because i dont like doing stuff thats rated

Rank 3 Legion crafted Shoulder recipes were gated behind RBG - Rank 2 was enough for me; some prof. recipe upgrades were gated behind Withered Army Training, too… like the RBG ones, above - I just decided that as long as I could make the item, I didn’t care about the efficiency for the W.A.T. ones.

well, my mistake. I thought somebody said that the Kul Tiran AR was gated behind an achievment that required completion of a mythic dungeon as well as the usual rep grind.

As to why people might moan at doing group content in an MMO I think that one of WoWs big selling points that it does appeal to solo players as much as group players.
As much as the ‘serious’ players might hate solo casuals the fact that WoW is so accessible to them is what has made the game so successful over the years.
Im all for certain things only being available to dungeon/PVP players like some mounts, titles, armors. etc but those things shouldnt include the central storyline and basic game features.

Also I play on an RP realm…another reason why somebody might play an MMO but not do dungeons/PVP!

Fair enough, I dont play Alliance so I forgot about their completion achi, but Lets not pretend that it is less in line with the other reqs so far in comparison with no req at all
I’d still rather have reqs that make sense then no reqs

That being said; with M0 being a breeze at 340 ilvl reward and free bi-weekly heroic AND mythic raid rewards anyone who complains about completing just one of them to get the story completion achi is deserving of ridicule lest we end up in a game where world Quests give you the same rewards as mythic raids (they already give heroic raid rewards so its not a far leap)
