Stop hiding my hair!

I’m sick to death of how absolutely goofy characters look like because blizz won’t fix the issue of hair disappearing with hat head mogs! I got the witch hat in the trade thing this month, looking forward to wearing it with some of my chars and lo and behold - My hair is gone. WHY? Such a simple fix! If they can make the hat, they can adjust occlusion so hair doesn’t go through things OR AT THE VERY LEAST provide a default male and female hair to go with hats! I’m so annoyed with this!!!

Its a clipping issue
Would probably cost a raid tier to fix, worth it tho imo.

It is absolutely worth it, and with (I think?) 700 devs on the team at the moment, I feel like we might not have to sacrifice much at all, right?

To be fair - just make hair toggable as an option when you put a helm on. Some hair will look great with certain helms, and you want it on, some not so much - you turn it off.

That should be a quite simple and easy addition to the game - and would allow for some crazy creativity and some really nice looking sets.

Just have it default set as “hide hair”, then let the player chose if he likes the hair on or not :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

Even this is a good solution! It’s just so annoying that they’ve neglected this for so long :frowning:

It’s not that simple. There are plenty hairstyles in the game that are quite wild and were never designed to work with hats. There are only 2 hats in the game that don’t hide hair, Kul Tiran heritage hat and Worgen heritage hat. With Kul Tiran hat you can clearly see that all of the hair styles on Kul Tirans were designed to fit under the hat, they don’t stick out much from the top of the head and usually are quite low volume. With Worgen one, as soon as you turn into human form some hairstyles clip with the hat.

Also they do provide the default hair style to go with the hats, it’s just a very short hair, doing something with way longer hair is not feasable because it would work with one hat and clip with the other hat and then look weird on yet another one because different hats in the game sit differently.

Pretty much every single game that shows your exact hair style under the hat has hair styles that aren’t that wild and already shaped to work with the hat model, all of the hats sit in more or less standardized way.

The only simple fix that can be done is to allow players to decide whether they want to hide hair or have it shown and deal with the clipping or just look for the hairstyle that works the best with that specific hat.
