The scaling is all over the place. My Timerunner Balance Druid was obliterating everything untill level 75 orso. Maybe itâs because of the gear you get, but it was insane.
Im a twink myself, been twinking since Legion, i never make groups to boost people i do it for the mogs, badges and achievementsâŠ
and doing battlegrounds with full twink groups is just so much more fun than half people with Heirloom gear and other half without
Edit,
i do agree that twinks after Shadowlands might be abit to strong with the new scaling
I agree that should not allow you to level lock, it just leads to degenerate behaviour. Or at least let you filter out players that have used the locked level when you are grouping.
Twinking community has been around for a long time, most of this 10-11lvl players in anniversary timewalkings is simple âtouristsâ, average WoW players, who saw opportunity to farm badges, its easy to get timewalking gear, which needs to be nerfed in iLvL scale for low lvls: As lvl 11, you will get 60ilvl timewalking gear from the dungeons, while normal dungeon will drop 25 ilvl item at this level.
With higher lvl, timewalking gear has less ilvl impact: As for my level 20, timewalking gear is 96ilvl for me and average dungeon ilvl drop is 84.
It will be wrong to get rid of XP lock, because twinking community - is just another way to play WoW, sure, its not for everyone and most people donât even know about it, but do not do âIf i donât play like that - its wrong way to play the gameâ
Getting rid of XP lock isnât solution, simple because you can create F2P account and do the same stuff as lvl 20, may be less efficient than lvl 10-11, but still effective.
Real solution is truly only by fixing scaling and ilvl scaling on the items, but this whole situation is clearly not priority for developers, same thing happen with lvl 20 priests in Remix, no one will care about this after anniversary is ended, simple because timewalking weeks and dungeons will be scheduled as it was before anniversary.
About greedy ones, who is asking for tips - its just shameless.
Iâve encounter one in the random timewalking dungeon, made joke about tipping culture and we votekick this player.
No one should tip for carry like that. Asking for tips in random dungeon - manipulative behavior, which imposes a sense of guilt on people and praying on that.
i agree 100% they are nothing but a pain in the rear end runnign through every dungeon bragging about thier stupid 4mil dps ban them or make dungeons available to level 15 +
Twinking is a way to enjoy the game, its very specific to X content.
I havenât seen anyone âBrag about their OP dpsâ so far, nor do I do it myself.
I slow down if people ask me to.
The hostility either way is horrible, I hope people stop that; either from twinks or to twinks - just be nice, talk about it, listen to others.
