Stop playing alts at 1700 rating

Every match in the 1700 bracket there is now at least 2 players in the shuiffle lobby with 2600+ mains. What do you think will happen when you keep stomping newbies over and over?

I get it, you have to wait a long time to get high rated matches. But you’re literally killing PVP.

This is a real concern, but people play just for their ego boost, which suprisingly is not satiated with their 2500+ achievements, they need to humiliate , to derogate, to truly show who is the real master especially to the weakest ones. You can understand their motives when their answer on the question “why you are here, you are an elite glad”, is “but I am new to this class, i play this class only 3 days, i m just learning the class” etc etc

Two possible facts.

1.) it might be they just learning new class, or having fun at lower mmr as its less stressful, if they stomping people its probly thats the case

  1. You would be surprised how many people using boosting services to get their glad mounts. if they have played lot of games and still sitting at 1700ish mmr might be suspicious

Have you ever realized that if they play alts and learn them they aren’t playing at 2600+ level but at yours and they try to learn the class. They might have better PvP sense overall but if they are at your level their spec is at your level. Glad Warrior won’t play Rogue at glad level straight away.

2nd thing is boosting as Xeraty said. Boosting business is huge in this game because a lot of people have to big of a ego to admit they never got their achievments themselves. It starts with PvE where hundreds of players are boosted in raids and M+ everyday. Even boosters spend their money on boosting their alts not to “waste time” and gear faster. These people earn millions of gold so then it’s not a big deal to buy glad whenever they like it.

They will play MM, not rog. Or disc priest or anything after all. They are simply much better and the learning curve for them is easy and short for most classes . Moreover, they probably already know how to play them, they just say “it s a new character”, (they mean is their 3rd MM hunter) “it s not my fault”, “ i have to start somewhere” while in the meantime enjoy stomping noobs. While destroying pvp participation , mostly the influx of new players ..

What should be done? Most of them to meet their pretty equals , must be a way somehow for the game to distinguish them ..

I dont know about boosting though..

Ur crying that ppl play alts?

well, then tell blizzard to start listening and boost mmr to SL2 numbers and fixthe honor system, as they should. Until then, I’ll be stomping at 1.7 farming honor and conquests.

I sure as hell ain’t waiting for 50 minutes per queuepop to get 300 honor and 150 conquest, nor am I willing to go through the same predicament as you - fighting multiglads and multiR1s at 2200-2500 mmr. The game is deflated, and it shoudn’t be. Not to mention 2v2 elite is like 120 people out of 60000 participants, that’s the extreme exhibition of this.

Keep in mind 1500 cr should be obtainable by roughly 50 % of the playerpool of a bracket, Rival around 10-15 %. Check the stats and see how that applies. The amount of rivals compared to s2 and s1 is down over half.

According to DataForAzeroth:

80.65 % of all accs got TWW level 80

10.73 % got 1000 cr S1

6.85 % got 1000 cr s2

3.44 % got 1000 cr s3

4.65 % got 1800 cr s1

4.12 % got 1800 cr s2

2.00 % got 1800 cr s3

Now, you may think this is a good thing, since the gap is seemingly closing, but it’s the exact opposite in this case - the ‘noobs’ are not playing, and only seasoned players are sticking around. This is further contextualized with Elite data:

0.78 % got 2400 cr s1

0.69 % got 2400 cr s2

0.23 % got 2400 cr s3

This means that in S1 and S2, every 6th Rival eventually got their Elite. In S3, almost every 9th did, which is 50 % increase. In other words, there’s 50 % more people fighting for an Elite they should be eligible for.

Still they are at 1700 at the moment because they didn’t push higher. You are worth your current rating. Achievments from the past don’t matter…

They don’t, and they should, but they make them not to. They need to fix that and bring back percentile achievements.

2400 in season isn’t worth 2400 in other. Simple compare 2nd season of SL to 4th season of SL…

Exactly, and that shouldn’t be the case. All seasons should be SL s2 numbers, because they allowed the season to climb that high.

(Oh, and by the way - SL s4, a notoriously deflated season, has similar statistics to what we currently have going on. AND WE HAVE BLITZ, in SL s4 there was no shuffle, no blitz.)

SL season Rivals vs. Elites were 7.72/0.73, 5.74/0.85, 3.60/0.42 and 1.73/0.15 %,
now we have 4.65/0.78, 4.12/0.69 and 2.00/0.23 %.

Which is why they need to reinstate percentile achievements. They’re wasting everybody’s time.
