Yeah, nothing more lovely than trying to put out fires for 5-10 minutes, failing due to their fast spread and you’re left there wondering… why did i even bother?
The fires are definitely more “durable” this year. No matter how many buckets of water I throw some just won’t go out and when one finally goes out, a spark from another fire lights it up again.
i copy and paste a wowhead commenti from 2016
I made an account on wowhead specifically to comment on this quest because of how frustrated I have become with it. I haven’t been able to confirm this, but in Legion it seems like the quest will scale with how many people are in the town. I’ve tried this both at Azure Watch and Kharanos, and it seems that if the fire spreads fast enough that it is containable by the amount of people in the town. In Azure Watch, the fire only affected one building, and it was right next to the central water bucket. I was handling it pretty decently, until I saw another player enter the town. Suddenly, the fire began to spread just fast enough that I could not handle it alone. Similar situation in Kharanos, only the inn lit on fire. I was playing my level 100, and using my flying mount, so the fire was dying down pretty quick. However, as soon as I see another player enter the town the fire became unmanageable. If you do try to solo this quest try to find a town that is absolutely empty . You want it to be a ghost town when you try and solo it. Again, not confirmed, but it seems like that’s the case.
Maybe you should try in az islae
Too. Soon.
I am pretty sure they know and don’t care.
It doesn’t help that Goldshire is the default place to hang out and duel, so there’s always dozens of players there. Unfortunately Kharanos is un-soloable but deserted
Sometimes the spark re-ignites the fire before the water splash effect has gone away. It’s quite infuriating.
Couldn’t even solo Kharanos with a druid in flight form and nobody else in the town
They are, in Brill at least when you are on a low populated server and the sharding system not doing its job.
Brill is also harder with fires behind flags, fires more spread out and more of them. Elf land is way easier and can be solo’d. But… here’s the thing, the event is in UC… so they really need to tune Brill and keep in mind that most of the time on some servers there’s just 2/3 people around. Or… fix sharding.
Water has too low damage to extinguish Fire, scaling issue, Blizzard is responsible.
//sarcasm over, i couldn’t complete it in Brill too
