It baffles me that this isn’t implemented especially considering they are daily locked and have an extensive re-spawn time. It was such a nice thing in pre patch. Maybe not the area wide announcement for all of them but the spawn protection yes.

Then add a meaningful guaranteed reward to it! What is the point of the rare if you wait for a hours for the rare to spawn only to get nothing. A rare is supposed to be something you get excited to find because it will give something meaningful. Not 40 anima and some 5g trash items.

And the mount is always some sort of reskin or remodel.

I mean, continuing the success that the customization improvements were was too difficult and players liked it too much, so they put all their artists and modelers to draw and create 45 more mounts to our 600+ mount pile because we didn’t had enough of them to farm and grind.

Customizations don’t waste player’s time, but mounts on a 1% drop rate on a rare that spawns whenever comet Halley appear in the sky surely do.

Currently waiting on Zelnithop spawning (so yes he doesnt even drop anything useful) for 2h45min already… f* this s*… and yes i would quit waiting for spawn already, but now in suborn and want to see how long it will take… to bad i need to go in ~30min :confused:

Except intended way to play is to not sit around. But be lucky when you get spawn and be lucky when you get mount by normaly playing and doing content. If you force yourself into this type of afk waiting game thats all on you.

Long spawn timers, low hp and you missed it. Becauee rares die too fast and you really want us to wait double hours? You have no time to run there before rare dies. What about to add immune for 2 mins like in Ice Crown? Unbelievable you have failed us so hard. It seems you havent learned lesson.

It’s odd because Mechagon in comparison seemed to have loads of things that we could go and kill and this place it’s just a afk fest while I watch/do stuff on my other monitor.

Yes Mechagon spawn time was 20-60min, that is acceptable… i read somewhere spawn on all rares is between 1-7h… that is literally insane.

Even if a rare spawns, you can’t get to it before it’s dead.

I have lost at least 8 fallen charger kills where the rare died infront of me because A: some bonobos go full dps rotation the moment they engage the rare and B:the server lag/framerate that is caused by the sheer amount of ppl who join/tag it makes the process even harder.

Overall as a mount collector I haven’t been more frustrated by any system put in the game up until now. Maybe I have just gotten tired of the same tedious systems being used over and over but it seems to me for every step forward this game is going 2 steps back lately…

At night they don’t spawn at all, for 2 1/2 hours between 11.30 and 2 am nothing spawns not even treasures.

I prefer quick spawn and 1% drop chance :smiley:

Honestly me too. It is far more interactive and makes having an army of alts a worthwhile investment. Which is why I loved Argus rares.

They keep pushing this absurd ā€œcontentā€ because you get people blindly defending them by the likes of ā€œits mmo,its meant to be grindyā€, ā€œif this farming is too hard for you,you dont have to do itā€. Its a bit similar to how mythic raiders and their methods of playing the game affect systems, you get this determined by the highest levels of the no-lifer experience.

I dont wanna completely **** on it because its a matter of the extent to which this is used. For example everybody knows the love rocket mount is grindy to obtain but we sort of accept it knowing that its a long term thing. If they kept adding one like it every year however players simply couldnt keep up. A few mounts that are difficult to find in an expansion (yes, mounts, not some random pets) would be ok but BFA had like half dozen just in the Vale zone, not to mention certain other cosmetic stuff also hidden behind such barriers. Its literally what players meant by chores back in BFA(and now in SL) and how the game feels like a job now.

Its another matter how its not thought through what happens when the rares get one shotted. The MoP/WoD ones come to mind. Short respawns wont break the game if the stuff is day/week gated and with low drop chance.

But player retention to inflate those logged in times to appease their shareholder masters is paramount!

This is the #1 thing I’ll never miss about WoW.

Blizzard should be bumping up the drop rates of old content while leaving current content low. Can imagine a new players coming to WoW to be completely overwhelmed if they ever decided to become a collector…

oh nice, another bunch of mounts I will never have because my time IRL is much too expensive to trade it for AFKing on a rare mob spawnpoint in hopes of dropping that 1-5% chance mount.

Whatever, I’m not bothered by this. I have like 39 mounts? Something along those lines. There’s no point in collecting them anymore, as everyone has some flashy over-the-top mounts.

Mechagon was propably the only place where they got rare mobs correctly. The zone was relatively compact, you had unrestricted flying (with the jetpack, that’s even better than a mount) and the spawn timers were short enough. You would just do things in the zone and those rares were an addition. Korthia seems to be forcing long AFK on players that want to farm those. Yikes, i’m staying a mile away from that.

Ive waited a bit over 12 hrs for the fallen charger but didnt spawn… the timers are ridiculous <3
