Serisouly patch after patch every rare has a huge spawn timer paired with a 1-2% drop. This is getting so frustrating. Having to sit afk for so long just refreshing lfg. Being afk in a waiting line IS NOT Content. Either make a rare 100% drop but hard to find or make the spawns as fast as in Argus. After so long with an active sub and so many mounts collected I am just tempted to take a break just because it is so blatant that the only focus of current design is to waste the players time. What better way to create cheap content than to have players do absolutely nothing while waiting?
Edit: They actually listened! Spawn timers seem to have been made faster across the board. A very welcome change.
Everything⌠Every single rare that drops a mount in 9.1 has a long spawn timer. Also, now itâs not that terrible because many people are making groups. In 10.0 you will have to wait hours for a 1% chance for a kill. Look at how impossible it is to get soundless right now for exampleâŚ
8 months of nothing, and this patch, we got 1 raid, 1 dungeon, 1 mini zone, a new super overcomplicated and extremely confusing system which will be obsolete next patch.
So, to compensate for the lack of everything, you get these waiting hours. That way you stick around and have playtime.
Quality hasnât been a thing in a while with wow.
They need to STOP making collection things (shroooms/chests/nests) none personal. Im sick of getting to them and then they disappear. Why is my progress gated behind other people looting things 1st?
I donât think itâs fair to say âbeing afk in a line isn;'t contentâ when you are purposefully choosing to try and repeatedly kill these things for the mount, so youâre forcing that upon yourself? The idea is you earn the collectibles over the course of the patch.
If you want to try and âcatch 'em allâ straight away, and as a result find yourself simply waiting around in Qs to increase your odds, is not that a decision you have taken as opposed to play being forced upon you?
I mean I didnât find myself in any Qs during my play yesterday because I was prioritising different things?
The way we choose to play != content delivery. In the same way itâd be unfair for me to criticise the Barrens as being a âcrap zone devoid of stuffâ if the only thing I decide to do there is kill lions under a tree for hours.
See here is the thing. Letâs take Argus for example. Low drop rates but quick spawn timers. Or rares up until MoP. High spawn timers but 100% drop rate. MoP and onwards is what really messed everything up. They have 2 perfectly fine systems and choose to go with the more annoying time-wasting ones. Which donât add anything to the player experience except for wasting time.
And in terms of âoptionalâ and mandatory content these things are up to the players. What you feel is mandatory for you might be completely optional for me and vice versa. Just like you donât care for mount collecting I donât care at all for player power (I only do it in order to get more mounts)
Rare Spawns should be put on a joint timer.Just make them like the World bosses in GW2. That way you know when what is going to spawn.
The Open world timers are made to perfaction.
But what can i sayâŚBlizzard have dumped the open world content to the trash bin.So i have really low expectations
Oh man that would be amazing. Knowing when something spawns. But that goes completely against the RNG upon layers of RNG policy so I doubt it would ever happen.
They should stay personal, however whatâs happening to you is that youâre getting sharded. Each zone has multiple shards in it, and when you step over the threshold, you enter another shard, which doesnât have the item you wanted to loot. I noticed it in BFA - I can see a chest in the distance, purple outline and all, I get close to it and it disappears. I go far away and it appears again, get close - disappears. And I can even find the exact border that triggers this.
Havenât really noticed how long the rares that drops mounts take to respawn yet, but if they are all like soundless variants I might just stop playing this god damn game since all I do is mount collect, and Iâm getting pretty bored just waiting hours for abyssmal drop rates for lazily designed mounts.
The biggest spawn timer I have seen for fallen charger is 11 hours. Also as current content itâs not super terrible since there are constant groups up. Imagine farming it 2 years from now which means that camping it will be your only option. Letâs just be extremely lenient and say it has a 5% drop rate. And average spawn timer of 6 hours. That would be an average of 120 hours just needing to be completely afk to get that mount.
And to add to that they are paper. They get nuked in 30 seconds from spawning. Blizzard had a perfect system with the spawn protection and zone wide yell during the prepatch and threw this system out the window. Guess it was too player friendly for their likingâŚ
