How was things handled before the helm and the lich king. I don’t know the lore, but I am guessing undeads existed back then too.

I suspect she’ll end up replacing the Jailer or Lich King…the whole “this world is a prison and I will set us all free” could be foreshadowing that she actually ends up trapped in a prison of her own making. I think outright killing her (especially in the Shadowlands where death isn’t really a signficiant thing) would be anti-climatic.

Agreed. Tyrande is becoming the Sylvanas of the Alliance and it feels very “here we go again”.
Plus that bounce. That damn bounce that she does whilst mid-rant…completely ruins any point she’s making.

I mean, if I recall, Illidan is supposed to be dead, Sargeras and the Titans are supposed to be all powerful, old gods are supposed to be immortal and killing them is supposed to hurt Azeroth in such a way that they’re effectively unkillable without destroying Azeroth, which is why they were imprisoned rather than killed in the first place.
Except that the Scourge Invasions in the prepatch are exactly that?
Zombies are infecting players and you can either find an Argent Healer or succumb to the infection and become a zombie!
Being infected by a ghoul either turns you into a ghoul or you get healed by an Argent Healer.
Apparently, while we were busy fighting Gods, Titans, the literal end of the world and all that insanely over the top stuff that has happened with Legion and BFA, the Argent Dawn / Crusade found a cure to the scourge.
That’s probably why they won’t bother us after the pre event as well.
I think making her a no-brain villain that’s evil for the sake of being evil is also quite anticlimactic. Sadly Blizzard writing can be described very well using the term anticlimactic.
Overall it’s just retcon over retcon with disregard to everything that has happened before. Don’t look too deep into WoW lore or you’ll just get disappointed.
