i just read somewhere that SEF is an dps loss if theres just 1 target.
In alot of guides it also states that SEF should be used mostly in AoE situations, which makes sense.
But if i read the tooltip correctly, my damage will be split into 3 clones, of which everyone does 42 % dmg. so 42 * 3 would be 126 % dmg, which equals a damageboost of 26 %, even in single target situations.
am i correct or should i use it at all on single target boss fights?
Serenity is stronger in st if you have the correct setup, and the tier set.
yeah i know that but what if i pick SEF for mythic + and then fight a boss which is only single target? should i use SEF in this situation or is it a dps loss?
You should probably just run serenity, but it should be fine.
Honestly, even with only storm earth and fire you should be fine.
Overall DPS difference in a dungeon is small

how can it be a dps loss unless the images get stuck somewhere?
It’s only a Dps loss if just one of your images is hitting the target.
it’s not, Serenity is always better on ST
Serenity probably is better at ST (though if you used both charges of SEF on the same target idk if total damage outweighs 1xSerenity).
