So i was enjoying the expansion, no i dont do dungeons or raids anymore cant be bothered to go into that again but yeah its just toxic. Thought this expansion was going to different but seems yet again people are being forced to go into dungeons just to advance the story. Yeah its not happening, not the only post about this and before the usual its an mmo what did you expect the rest of the story up to that point was not locked in instances.
I play with my gf and shes the same and we know a good few others that just wont do them anymore. So why do they continue to lock proffs and story etc inside them. It wont make people do them they have already decided thats not going to happen. It just means at some point we’ll say thats it lets play something else.
Rant over. Dont Lock Storys/ Proffs or anything inside instances.

Can i have your explanation of toxic please? I did 50+ dungeons this xpac so far and didnt encounter 1 toxic person. I only pugging from the bottom of +2 +3 all the way up to +14 +15 now. Idk what you guys always talking with that toxic mplus mentallity.
Btw i never did “high” keys before, i was only rbging last 2 xpacs.
MMO = A massively multiplayer online game is an online video game with a large number of players, often hundreds or thousands, on the same server.
A dungeon only supports five players. A raid up to 25. So essentially, by the definition of what an MMO is, it doesn’t involve having dungeons or raids in the game.
MMO = MMOs usually feature a huge, persistent open world.
Usually… It would mean that the majority of the story should happen in the open world and NOT in the closed world of a dungeon or a raid.
I’m of the same opinion. If a player doesn’t want to do the story continuation inside a dungeon or raid they should have the OPTION to tell the quest giver to go for the “other path of progress” … I thought THIS expansion was about “player agency” and that would be that a player have more control over how he/she/they plays the game. That also involves whether to want to do a dungeon and/or raid or NOT.
How dare Blizzard wants people to do literal core content of the game
Frankly, dungeons in this expansion (Normal and heroic ones, can’t speak for mythic+) are very easy, i can understand not wanting to run them repeatedly (That does get a bit tedious), but running them once to see the story isn’t a big deal, really.
Like many people have said: This is a Multiplayer-game, so some parts of the story will be in places you can’t solo (Have been since Vanilla), i can’t make it any different than that…
I understand people who dislike having to do dungeons because they don’t have anyone to play with and aren’t comfortable joining random groups… but you seem to know several people who you could team up with and go at your own pace + avoid whatever the toxic thing is. So what exactly is the issue here? If you simply refuse to do any dungeons when you actually have people to do them with, well that is on you.
I also think it is stupid they hide bosses inside…
Why hide story behind quests? Quests make me nervous, and as a free citizen I don’t like when NPCs tell me what to do. I shouldn’t have to put up with that, but I am 100% entitled to see the story (and no, Youtube is not an option. I want to see the story with my character but without the gameplay, because that makes sense).
Wait till you get to the painter quest chain.
To be fair, click lfg select the dungeon you want on normal.
Await queue pop.
Move forward in dungeon whilst smashing any random combination of keys you want feel free to use an object to do this.
Complete story / quest.
If you play with your gf, you can duo all the dungeons together, without needing other players.
The dungeons on normal are so brain dead easy you could probably AFk and no-one would care.
I enjoy delving into dungeons to complete quests, why should this be removed because you don’t wanna do them for whatever weird reason?
Don’t afk in a dungeon it will result in you being kicked. However normal dungeons aren’t very hard and anyone can queue for them.
