I recently started playing again after a long break and I’m really enjoying the BFA content and storyline- but one major flaw that has stood out to me has been the lack of linear story option for returning players. There are really important quests/content/cinematics that are only available when revered or exalted with Zandalar but I’m already being prompted to skip ahead to Nazjatar and the 8.3 zones which throws everything into a big unsynched mess, like having all the chapters of a book rearranged. Having these rep requirements removed so quests can be more easily picked up or creating a story mode option would be a really great idea for players that have jumped into the expansion late and want to experience the story fully.
that’s one of the things I really dislike about new content. Blizz really push us to drop everything and jump into that regardless of where we are in the story and it just makes it confusing
one second I’m helping Admiral Jaina and the next I’m trying to convince her mother to let her out of prison? or I’m convincing Baine to let the Vulpera into the Horde who then have to report to Warchief Sylvanas?
a storyline mode would be a great optional addition, locking some content out until you finish the previous chapter. or at least having a warning popup saying that you’re skipping ahead and some things might not make sense
Whole war campaign reputation requirements is removed, the only unusual thing you have to do is to complete LFR version of raids to progress in story, last time i did whole war campaign in 4-5 hours up to Veteran of the Fourth War title.
