Strafe bug

I’m making this new post as when I tried to find another post about this issue all the topics were locked so I could not add to it.

Since buying dragonflight and re subscribing just under a month ago I have had a bug where my mouse buttons 4/5 (which are binded to strife) sometimes keep running even after release the buttons. It’s making all combat a miserable experience, and kiting in pvp whilst trying to stop to hardcast something is horrible.

I submitted this to the bug section but I was told to re bind the keys, which I do not want to do as my whole set up is based around moving solely with the mouse and using my left hand for spells on the keyboard.

Please dedicated more time to finding and fixing this bug.

I’ve had the same thing just reported, my strafe is bound to the horizontal scroll on my Logitech G600. What mouse are you using?

Hi, sorry to hear your having the problem too. I’m using the Deathadder Essential 6400 dpi.

Its sad, that they haven’t fixed it yet Makes it really bad for people, including me, that using strafe on their mouse and getting told to rebind it, using a third party program to change mousebutton 4&5, which arent for free or dont even work or, trying to change/create a new profile some mice are coming with (WoW mice doesnt even have that options iirc lol). Its not even a new bug, we had that exact same bug already in 10.1 and they fixed it back then, so i dont understand, why they havent fixed it yet, after two months, im really getting tired of reporting it everyday

Here’s what’s worked for me. I went into the Logitech mouse software and changed the bind on the horizontal scroll buttons from mouse button 4 and 5 to numpad / and numpad star.
Not had any problems since.
