Hi guys, I’m 850 casts deep trying to fish for Strange Goop by Hirukon to get the mount.
One thing I cannot seemingly find clarification on is whether you explicitly need shadowlands fishing to get the goop? Currently I have Khaz Algar fishing.
After 850 casts you would be max lvl SL fishing by now.
But don’t worry. You’re only at 850 Casts. You could be going for much longer.
To answer the OP, I’m not sure, but I think so. I recall in SL that a guildie had spent 6 hours fishing for the goop then said in gchat that he had realised that you needed Shadowlands fishing and he didn’t have it - apparently you can fish there without specifically having SL fishing.
I bought the goop off the AH after reading all the comments about the very low drop rate, so if you can get one at a reasonable price I would do that.
