Strange sounds in Stormwind

Yesterday night we had strange sounds in Stormwind for about an hour.
We heard fighting and cannon fire in the background and now and then a loud horn sounded.
And then a deep voice sayed lines like “Ill crush you into a mountain” or “Ill crush you”.

It sounded like an raid encounter or world event but nothing was to be seen in miles around Stormwind.

Also would be very unlike blizzard not spoiling such an event like month in advance for advertisement purposes.

Now the question: Is it a spoiler? A sound file from world event for the start of War Within that accidently got played? Or is it an existing raid encounter I dont know off?

This sounds like something has triggered an unrelated sound file from another part of the game, perhaps the music player bugged out, or some addon you have started the sounds.

Those sound like voice lines from the Tectus fight in Blackrock Foundry.
Not sure why you’re hearing them.

A bug or misbehaving AddOn playing some sound files for some unknown reason perhaps.
Were you listening to the game via a headset that also had you in chat with others? could that have been playing up either?

I turned off every addon and strangely ALL the sound was on the effect sound line. Not ambient, not voice, not music. Every sound, the gunshots, the horns, the voice was on “effect”.

Ofcause it was my first guess too that its a bugging addon or such.

I heard into the Tectus Fight, that wasn’t it. The voice was far clearer and less “rumbling”.

I haven’t had issues with sound effects, but I have had the wrong music play in Valdrakken and Stormwind for me recently. It could be related?

Depending on what game version, recheck your sound and music settings during login.

I would love to experience that. What you describe reminds me of the ghostly voices in the UC throne room. They are intentional though. What are of SW was it? I want to go and hopefully hear this. Do you remember the time it happened?

I have a feeling you play on Argent dawn, and you heard the sounds of someone playing around with custom made items and sounds in totalrp3 addon. At least for me that made those sounds

The answer is that you’re from the future. And the temporal time-ways messed with your game client.

How are you level 80 already?
