I thought transmogs from vendors that require reputation would get account wide as long as one of your characters had the reputation?
You can buy the Straw Hat when you’re exalted with the Tillers.
It comes in plate version, mail, cloth and leather.
Do I haft to be exalted with the Tillers on a mage for example if I want the hat to be account wide for my warlock?
Currently I have the reputation with my warrior but I want the hat on cloth wearers, and obviously transmog is only account wide if it’s the same armor type.
I have the mail version. Could my hunter with the relevant rep go and buy+wear the leather+cloth versions, thus putting them in my appearance collection, but not do so for the plate?
Dunno if they changed it, I think there was a statement that Rep based gear would still be wearable on chars that did not have the rep, including tabards? But all I can think is if you buy something on a Plate char, all plate chars can wear it, so then you need to get rep with a char each that wears other gear to get the t-mog on all chars.
It means that only plate characters can transmog it even if they dont have the Shadowpan rep. They still require rep to buy and the appropriate primary armor type to learn.
This is the one thing I can’t understand fully about the transmog system, being able to get gear on a character that can use it and not adding it to the transmog items, that only the “right” class can add it to the list.
I know people will say that Plate wearers will only do transmog runs but why not? I can understand with weapon types but why armour types? They can after all wear it.
It would be much unfair.
A dude that starts playing a cloth wearer later makes a leather wearer and has nothing to xmog on him.
A dude that starts playing a plate wearer later makes any other wearer and has lots to xmog on him.
I know rep locked mog bar the tabard means you need the rep for the mog piece too cause i have the shado pan hat on my shaman and still cant wear it on my hunter.
