Streamers are using twitch for RMT in game

So i was watching a streamer do arena boosts essentially through real money.

Donations and bits is how they make it look legit.

I couldn’t believe it when I heard him talking openly about how much for a boost. He wasn’t talking about gold at all.

10 games = this much in donation , this much in subs , or this much in bits.

They are hijacking the system for real money. This isn’t only him a woman was doing it aswel. They were both streaming for 6 hours , doing arenas for money. Can you imagine how much both them made in a week , or a month or a whole season Oo ?

/sigh how on earth is anyone meant to enjoy pvp meaningfully anymore.

They were talking about this so openly , why is this acceptable and why is nobody talking about it ?! Lastly why isn’t Blizz doing anything about it ?!

I’m guessing this exists on the PVE side aswel of WoW

Because officially bits aren’t money, they are a currency from twitch.

Wow token falls in the same category, is a blizzard currency which can be bought by money used to trade for boost but isn’t money.

Neither battle net balance is money. Is a digital currency that you bought by blizzard game even if the symbol is the same as money.

I’ve seen group listings in the dungeon bit and PVP which were like: “subscribe to my Twitch for your chance of a free M15+/pvp boost before X hour.”

Subs cost IRL money and streamers cash out on it with sub money going to Twitch’s and their’s IRL banks.

Send links to the videos to *hacks@blizz.com :man_shrugging:

Blizz might be totally unaware of this and until someone actually makes them aware they can’t deal with it.

We know for a fact they do deal with RMT because they nuked that boost guild last year for it.

*Pretty sure that’s the email address might need to confirm it though

I think subs fall on RMT directly :cat:
Not on shady are of virtual currency.

Yes it does for as long as I’ve been playing this game (from day 1)

And yes Blizzard does “know” but they ignore it because who bites the hands that bring in so many players with so much, essentially, free advertisement.

How I can make such a bold claim… Well let’s just say after raiding with this DK here I started maining a different class in a more successful guild and got a first hand taste how things look like “behind the curtain”

I bet someone is reading this thinking " oh wait i don’t to buy tokens , I can just go to the source with my monye"

bro, its just the same with tokens or rmt gold buying. its literally same… blizzard never ever never gave up boosting market because they literally sell gold. they can prevent boosting. but they wont. not gonna happen.
