The 277 gear is not necessary to clear normal. People who don’t like to engage with the game and don’t like to play boss mechanics are supposed to stay in normal. The whole reason normal exists and “heroic” isn’t the default mode like in Sunwell, Black Temple, Classic Naxxrammas and TK/SSC is because it was kind of rat to gate so many people from content.
If you take this logic forward what’s to stop people from demanding nerfs for every hard content going forward? P1 Cataclysm is substantially harder then ICC, both for normal and heroic fights. Firelands is even harder then that.
In fact, the highest difficulty raids after this point basically forever until we reach retail become substantially harder every patch. Unless you’re suggesting we add this progressive buff to ludicrous levels every single patch going forward, why now?
And what are you going to do once you reach pure mechanic fights that raw stats cannot cheese?
You want them to progressively nerf that as well because everyone should have access to all the best gear?
You need to find a balance between not making too many people quit and not boring too many people out of their minds. Already ICC Heroic is fairly easy for organized groups, sans lichking maybe. People were full clearing this raid 2 hours after launch. Even casual guilds have been full clearing everything but lichking on heroic since week 2.
Good lord, we’ve just witnessed this crap being cleared by people in ToC gear and you’re out here going “I’m better than other folks cause I can clear it in full heroic ICC gear”.
Get off your damned horse or turn off the buff.
Neither is the 264 or even 251 gear apparently.
So to turn it around, git gud and turn off the buff.
As even Ulduar very recently showed us, not nerfing stuff is not that balance.
You have 8 weeks to prove you’re good according to the talk around the watercooler.
Yeah, ulduar was too easy. Way too easy. People were bored out of their mind week 2. That’s why it’s good that every raid after gets harder, and substantially harder at that. With modern tactics and information, we’re rolling over everything the game offers, already.
