Hi guys. I recently resubbed so I could farm for the elite plate set from the Stromgarde warfront. However, I am unsure whether or not the weekly quest is the only way of obtaining the items for the set. There are different opinions online. Can some plate users, who’ve got the item, please confirm, how they got it? You only get the inferior items from doing the assault quests and killing elites, right? Is my best opportunity to level up an army of alts and do the weekly quests on all characters until I get it, and then go afk for the other weeks to come?
I think the elite set was awarded for high rating pvp back in season 1 or 2, making this set unobtainable today. Even the nonelite version is not obtainable, only the warfront versions are.
It might not be called the elite set then, but I am talking about the same model as the one you’re refering to, only the one from warfronts - where I think it’s from, is a recolored version with a golden tint.
You can only get the tier 3 set of Arathi Basin(Elite set as you call it) from the Quests that follow when you open up the Warfront.
So you have 2 chances every time it opens.
So make sure you do the quests if you want the Tier 3 version of the set.

So my best bet is in fact to level a ton of plate alts and do the quests on each one?
Pretty much, yeah, I leveled all my old characters up just so that I could get more chances and it still took forever to get a complete set, and I am still missing pieces on mail.
The RNG is just… Bad. I once got nothing but bracers for 4 cycles.

The ‘‘washed out’’ color variant was rewarded for players who reached a minimum of 1800 in rated PvP in BFA season 1.
The golden version is rewarded randomly at the end of the arathi warfront.
i think the machine drops those…or warfront weekly quest. normal set (brown) is for the rares in arathi
