Edit: Now it’s “character not found”
I got in with my main on Kazzak, but I’m not brave enough to try Silvermoon… Bright side is that I can see other people around me so folks are getting back in now. Good luck everyone!!

I don’t know if everyone who posted on here are able to log in now but I still can’t. I either keep getting a black screen or a normal screen but when trying to log in loading stops and returns a no character found error.

Same problem here.
The black character screen does seem to go back to normal if I leave it like that for a bit. But then it’s character not found when trying to enter.
With addons disabled i was able to loggin, after i updated them all with wowup, i cant loggin anymore its stuck at 70% and then character not found
It looks like the issues have cropped up again - it’s still being looked into

I tried logging in with addons disabled but it didn’t make a difference whatsoever.

Just managed to loggin on a lvl 10 toon in Duskwood, could it be that my mains are in Mechagon? And cant loggin? For ex current BFA maps?
i have a new problem concerning log in.
i actually log in but the server screen is empty without characters and every grey out. Anyone has that problem too ?

You are not alone in this so don’t worry! 
Every prepatch ever since i’ve been playing, i fully expect it to go horribly, when it does, i still get angy. I hope they fix it soon, it’s beyond me how exact same issues occur every launch in the last decade.
Im just sad now… I really thought that by now Blizzard would surprise us with something great. That they finally learned. I was so looking forward to this day. To play something good. I subbed again, I guess I was wrong. I know its just a game at the end. But this game has been with me for 12 years now, and I made some amazing memories in it. I just do not care anymore, its so exhausting getting kicked in the a… every new major patch. I can tolerate this in a F2P game, but not here. Always the same.
Do you know how bugs work and how to 100% prevent them forever?
No? Then shut it. Unexpected things happens, and thats just how coding and programs works. Fix one bug, and three new ones takes its place.
I’m not sure if this will help anyone but I got the blank screen with no characters showing, left it for a few minutes and it seemed to bump me in
