No, there are policies and rules for that.
As far I know, the uptime of wow is like 99.9%. So I doubt you are entitled to a compensation in that regard.
Make a ticket, and ask, but it’s not something you’re entitled too.
Aslong my ISP gets a rating higher then x % uptime, I am not entitled either, so it works the same as irl.

Well, their current policy is probably the way it is because too many people don’t object or protest.
I kind of agree, except that if you have downtime with your ISP and you complain about it, you get some sort of compensation, like 15% off for 3 months or something small.

If that 0.01% downtime happens 3am (when most people are alseep anyway), I am sure most people are fine with that but seriously, on a friday afternoon?
And you should have seen on the release night of WoW Classic of EU - we had to wait for like 1 hour before we could get it, as opposed to the Americans who got to play right away (6 in the evening), that alone in my book is far from ok.
