Stuck on a flight path mount (but not on a flight path per say)

I left a plaguefall +12, after group disbanded, upon leaving the dungeon by the entrance portal i appeared on a flight path mount heading in a straight line. I proceeded to crash through the ground/mountains of maldraxxus heading towards oribos (ended up way underneath oribos it got to the point where the camera stopped tracking/following my character who ended up disappearing into the horizon.

Upon triggering the stuck character service i logged back in to find my self still on the same mount but heading from orgrimmar gates through the barrens towards the west of kalimdor and im now above the veiled sea with no fatigue bar (im guessing something to do with flight path mounts)

UPDATE: it seems like a gm spotted an issue and turned the mount around from the veiled sea and dismounted me above a lake in desolace after a weird graphical thing that swapped the mount to the anima worm from oribos and seeing the weird tunnel (dr who style thingy) that you see when heading between oribos and shadowland zones

Yeah, I get that pretty regularly. I find that logging out and logging in again fixes it; I find myself flying on the flight path properly when I log back in.
