Stuck on Initializing

This stuff has been happening for a decade, ATLEAST, why is it I can’t skip an update? Or why on earth is it not fixed? The suggestions on your website aswell as reddit don’t help, I’ve tried VPN through 5 servers in 3 countries. What’s the issue? I come home from 3.5 days on the road sleeping in a truck, and this is my greeting? We are PAYING you to have a good time, not to fight with your programs not working as intended. This isn’t a beta… it’s a 15euro a month game ffs.

When can I expect this to be fixed?

Same issues, based on calculations it should be done initializing in 100 minutes At the same time, Steam downloaded 10 times that amount of MB in like, 2 seconds.

The way that bnet works, initializing has to re-allocate space in your SSD/HDD.

So if that’s not fast (or even if it is), it can take time…and it is bad 100%.

But that would be a consistent problem tho, not an occasional one.

I alternate between downloading VERY slowly (Beta launcher) and being stuck on initializing (release launcher).

Perhaps interestingly, I only switched to the Beta launcher about a year ago to resolve the same issues. Switching back to the release launcher seems to be worse.

That’s because it is a consistent problem, it just depends on patch size lol

Whatever is going on in initializing, neither my SSD nor CPU like it.

The CPU increases in temp from idle by about 15c, similar to the increase I see in games.

The SSD gets a jump in cycles according to the SSD health app I use.
