Stuck on Lorewalker Quest “A Vessel Made Ready” – Item Requires Level 45?

Hi all,

I’m currently progressing through the new Lorewalker questline and ran into an issue with the quest “A Vessel Made Ready”. To complete it, you need to use an item that requires level 45.

The strange part is that I’ve completed all previous steps on a low-level character without any problems — including the entire previous quest “Lorewalking: Blade’s Bane”, and I even received the related achievement. So it seems like low-level characters are expected to start and progress through this content. But now I’m stuck unless I grind all the way to level 45 just to use this one item?

That doesn’t seem intentional. If this is a bug, I hope it can be addressed. If it’s working as intended, I’d appreciate an explanation — it feels pretty punishing to guide players through multiple quests only to block them at the very end due to a level restriction.

Thanks for reaching out and for the detailed report about the issue you ran into.

It looks like this is happening due to conflicting scaling when you’re in Chromie Time and leaving it temporarily should allow you to complete the quest.

That said, it is very much unintended, and a hotfix is also being prepared presently!
