Stuck on the boat in Exile's Reach - The North Sea

Character lvl 10 Peekthelock@EU-Silvermoon, started in Exile’s Reach.

Game crashed while I was exiting Darkmaul Citadel Dungeon back to Exile’s Reach (out of memory).

Upon restart, I notice a deadend/blocking point.

My character is lvl 10 and is on the initial boat at The North Sea. There is no way out, no NPC to talk, quest to be given (expected, I’ve been there at lvl1 and left!).

I tried:

  1. Clear cache, addons, restart, no change.

  2. Queue and enter Darkmaul Citadel Dungeon as there is an exit vector/NPC there. Queue is ok, but when entering I get an error “We can’t do that while on a vehicle or transport”.

  3. Unstuck service. It takes a bit I get “Move Complete!” + “The character has been moved to a safe location. You may now log into the character.” + the 8hr cooldown.
    Unfortunately, the “safe” location" is the same boat on The North Sea.

It looks like a bug rendering character useless at lvl 10 !

Delete character and start again ? How weird…

If you remain on the boat and don’t do the first few quests this can happen, it is a bug sadly, so the only way is to recreate it. If you have mail that needs recovery you can use the automated recovery.

I can’t remember if you get a hearthstone during that time if you do try using that.

Sadly you only get the HS at Stormwind/Orgrimmar.

They changed it then. Last time I started in Exiles Reach, I got bored, and just hearthed to Orgimmar.

Ooh sounds like a long time ago, now you don’t have a HS until you get out and you can’t use any toys until you complete it.
