I accidently bought a 200g gem for 9111g 13s and 13c, because I hadn’t played in a while and my addon told me everything was at market value. Blizzard said if I report it within two hours and don’t use the item they will refund it, but of course I had already equipped the gem, conveniently they mention a rule I’ve never heard of only after I can’t do anything about it. They refused telling me it’s my fault and implying if you get someone to buy your overpriced whatever the sale is final.
So how do I get someone, as dumb as me, to buy something that’s well overpriced so I can get my gold back? Any ideas? What items would be the best ones to charge outrageous prices to get my gold back?
You are absolutely right, but after Blizzard told me there was a way to refund it, but they wouldn’t do it, it just made me too angry. Your post was better than all the customer service posts, and they are supposed to be professionals. All they did was make me more and more frustrated and angry.
I’m just going to keep posting 9000g items on the AH, until I get someone to buy it. I really don’t want to play anymore after such a massive loss. Which is why I’m on here instead of playing.
No what Blizzard and I told you is that all sales are final on the AH.
You then went on a tirade to find an “official” answer to actually find a way to “scam” other players then proceed to spam this junk repeatedly over the forums unable to accept the given answer.
Any feedback you may have you may also give through the ingame feedback box.
You might get lucky, but its not worth your time. It has been going on for a while so getting lucky enough to land on someone who will buy it is hard. Blizzard’s stance on this has been clear for a while. “You have to confirm the purchase, if you do, its on you.”. So its not really against the rules, so if you wanna go for it, then go for it I guess
“Now, let’s discuss refunds. Tokens, currencies, and acquired items typically have a refund window of 2 hours if they remain untouched. Modify or equip them, and they become yours. Some items, like stackable items and Emblem conversions, are irreversible once used.”
Yeah you guys approve of that kind of playing, so I was trying to find the best way to do it. You guys would know the best way to sell someone over priced items on the AH. You were so aggressive and condescending there was no way anything you say would have improved the situation and Getoffmylan had the best recommendation. Why are you so upset? No one took your gold!
There is no way to refund this as there technically was not a thing wrong with the transaction.
Someone put the item up for x amount of gold and you bought it.
Simple as that.
I don’t understand posts like this. I already said they refused, so why are you repeating what I already said? I was looking for advice on selling items like the people who duped me.
People who buy gold are to blame for the botting problem. You should be banned forever if you’ve bought gold.
The issue isn’t the gold, it’s the official support for players who rely on tricking people to make a mistake where there is no recourse to make gold.
First time it’s happened to me since I started playing in 2005 and the customer service team couldn’t have been any more frustrating. Nothing a customer service rep could say other than “it happens from time to time, and we haven’t figured out a way to address it without players taking advantage of it”. Is a lot better than “I’m so sorry, we aren’t going to do anything about it, I hope you have a great day. Let me know if you need any more assistance” All of that artificial politeness just makes it worse for me.
