Stuttering+flickering=?

When you show me video of a flat frametime line running around in oribos i believe you.

Untill then you are just saying that you dont have the stutters.

also this happens in all 3 of my pcs, 2 desktops and 1 laptop and only happens after the df client pre patch and only happens in retail wow,all other games and classic are normal with a fixed frametime line like this _______________________________, in retail everytime a players pops in around theres a stutter on the frametime,so people that play on dead servers dont have the stutter problem, since theres noone around to trigger the stutter, thats why i say oribos because its a place where many players are constantly spawning and makes a complete heartbeat of the frametime, instead of smooth like it was prior to the pre patch.

so yeah, the problem is in the game and the new guys that dont know how to fix it,since all good developers left.

its like a good restaurant,if the chef leaves without teaching the new guys, that restaurant will never have same food again.

i can even replicate this stuters caused by loading players,if you have a hunter with a pet, mount your flying mount (so pets dissapears) and then unmount and the pets will “spawn” instantly ,causing a stutter on the frametime,i tested this on all 3 pcs,all 3 pcs stutter when hunter pet spawns,so theres clearly a issue on the engine.

thats why when theres many people theres many stutters, idk if its only the hunter pets or if it happens with all players loading .

forza 5 had a similar issue not long ago,the game would stutter everytime a new player with a custom livery appeared,it was fixed in 2 days.

but thats microsoft.

so yeah dont say you dont have stutters, say you dont notice them because if you dont have a frametime graph (not frame per second) in from of you you will see what im talking about.regardless of the pc.

you think you have coversation for me saying its my pcs,but you dont have proof and i have. i can even replicate it. or you think you are the chosen? the one? your mom told you you are special i bet? everyone got this, its in the engine. but some dont even have tools to test it.like a simple osd frametime graph.and then come here say is good when its not good.its broken.needs fix from blizz.

at least blizzard allready fixed the stutters when mouseover the skills book.

lets see if they manage to fix the loading players/objects stutters too.

I agree on the point you get stutter every time a player pass by or spawn, this thing happened since 2004 and til now same issue, reducing the view distance helped a bit and having a decent CPU and new router also helped, I know this because I too had issues before but constant stutter that I don’t have tweaked my graphic setting to make the game playable, not all settings is fully optimized like ray tracing and DX11 and such. Also tweaked setting from Nvidia control panel. Compared to other games yes WoW do stutter in high populated zones or 40v40 PVP but other than that rarely occur, to me but yea 1000 posts of other people having similar issues like yours don’t lie either, I’m no computer engineer but tweaking and modifying graphic settings helped a little, like before in one of call of duty games it had TXAA it caused a problem and stutter for me and changed it to FXAA solved the problem. etc

sorry before the df pre patch i didnt have this stutters. on any of the 3 pcs.

play since warlords of draenor.

last time this happened was in korthia when you opened the map, game would stutter, then was “fixed” and now returns with other problem.

this happened before, and they fixed it,its not our pcs,its blizzard game needs fix.

Gotta say it’s weird for me, since the prepatch I have ok and stable game without crazy fps drops for like 2 days, then the next 2 days my fps go from 100 to 15 then 80 to 10 and like that in a few seconds, usually when I move or try to use a skill , crazy unstable for a few days, then again after a few days it’s okay without massive fps drops game runs smooth, and then fps drops after a few days again it’s weird and don’t know what’s going on

Get rid of your potato

lol only my psu costs your entire pc.

where is the frametime graph?

which software to use for that? or is it built in nvidia experience or OBS?

you need to go on msi afterburner setting, and go to monitoring, and tick frametime.

your frametime should be 8.33 ms all the time at 120 fps for a smooth experience.

like a straight line, thats how you see if game is stuttering.

Will check and test and see how it goes.

you just need to fly over trade district in stormwind to see what im talking about ^^

or summon a hunter pet.

you will see the stutter on your frametime has soon you summon a hunter pet.

you have nice pc,i bet you will see a fixed 8.33 ms frametime line everywhere that dont have players around, the problem is after the last df client patch it stutters everytime a player spawns around,or a hunter pet is summoned.

running around in stormwind and oribus for instance is a stutter fest on the frametime, and prior to the df prepatch that didnt happen, was a fixed frametime all time, thats the problem.

i also discovered that summoning a hunter pet will cause that stutter.

if i can replicate it on my 3 pcs,it means everyone has it.

but not all know how to see it.

ms do spike sometimes from 8 to 20 up to 100 but in a blink of an eye, hardly noticeable. Just tested.

Eh thats the problem, shouldnt never go above 8.33ms for your 120 fps (16.6 ms if playing at 60 fps).

Yes its hardly noticeble but still,it wasnt like this before df client.

Or on any other game i have.

You can replicate it summoning and desummoning a hunter pet many times you will see your frametime spike when the pet is summoned.

This are the stutters im talking about, thanks for confirming it.

i allready reported to blizzard that i found a way to replicate the issue by summoning a hunter pet, lets see if they acknowledge it and fix it,since anyone on any pc can do this and see the frametime stutters.

Then you have it configured wrong dont you. because the game is fine on max settings… if it was the game then everyone should have it.

you have it too,you just dont have a frametime graph to see it.

install msi afterburner and use frametime on your osd and you will see it.

you wanna teach me configure a pc? i have top end pcs since spectrum , i bet you dont even have your components in msi mode or even know what that is,so dont tell me to configure my pc xD

all games run flawless, only wow retail has this problem how many times do i have to tell this xD

LOL its wow it runs silky smooth at max setting even in an invasion. Why do i need a framerate graph?

im not talking about framerate,im talking about frametimes, lol, you are clueless…

you need a graph because the graph tells you how much time a frame is taking to be rendered xD

if you play at 60 fps, your frametime is 16.6 ms
if you play on 120 fps your frametime is 8.33 ms

and so on.

but,in wow,the framerate is 60 and the frametimes are spiking above 16.6 ms

got it now?

So let me get this straight, to actually see this issue you need to download special software to tell you the issue is happening…because you cant see it ingame

yes, because some people say they play smooth but they arent xD

how can you play smooth if 1 frame takes 16 ms and other takes 100 ms?

you cant.

thats why i notice this ,because i have a beast pc of 6000 euro, play my games at 280 fps and 280 hertz on a real gsync monitor (not compatible, the real thing with a cpu inside monitor) all games run a flawless fixed frametime, wow included BEFORE the pre patch.

so,the pre patch has a problem!

i can even replicate it,and prove it with a frametime graph monitoring.

summonming a hunter pet will bring your frametime from 16.6 ms to 100 ms and thats not normal, thats not how games work, thats the 1 st thing a developer do is make sure all frames are delivered at same time intervals.

i play on laptop rtx3050 and i have no lag…i have medium settings shadow off etc and like 60-80 fps
