Was not enough the game stuttering since df pre patch now its flickering too black textures and black squares on map.

Do you have latest nvidia drivers? The ones that say game ready driver for dragonflight? I just installed those and now above the horrible stuttering i have black flickering stuff on map and in the game textures…
ye i installed the ones experience gave me
upgrading to a 4090 probably helps. YW.

Actually its my new pc,asus rog 4090 and 13900k.
upgrading to a 4090 was most likely what caused his problems my 3090 first gen plays the game fine no stuttering or flickering the price you pay for being an early adapter

My old pc that i gave to my nephew is with same problems on a 4790k and 1080 ti…
Also us forum have thread about it with 1000+ people with same problems so i dont think you now what you talking about.
All other games are fine including wow classic,so yeah its df client.
why so hostile friend i was merely making a remark that my system don’t have this problems and that it might likely something with your system that is causing it
This flickering also appeared before so its nothing new,both the stutters and flickering are since bfa era.
They where fixed and returned now in df client.
Also,you have stutters too you iust dont notice them.
Flickering i believe something about nvidia since it doesnt happen with the drivers before the last ones.
have you tried asking in the support forum they are more equipped to handle this issue i would imagine

well good luck with your issue i doubt blizzard cares ever since they fired those 800 people support has gotten pretty much none existent
I reallly would like to see your frametime in oribos since you say you dont have stutters.
Because mine ,since df client update become horrible from a fixed frametime line i had,on 3 diferent pcs…
playing on 3080 10/10 settings no problems sounds like a 4090 problem then:)
enable vsync or lock your fps to where its stable
It sucks you’re having these problems, but you shouldn’t pretend it’s a wide-scale issue.
There’s a 1000+ POSTS in that thread. That’s not anywhere near 1000 people because it’s mainly the same few people posting and reacting to each other.

My game stuttering has now made it unplayable but I have not seen the flickering.
Will wait for df so see if it fixes it, if not I will have to unsub until it’s fixed.
I’ve read those issues in different forums, I had issues early on shadowlands, but after disabling some settings which clearly isn’t optimized by either nvidia or this game maybe cause it engine is old, for instance ray tracing is disabled, limit FPS, DX12 seems the way to go for fps stability. Currently using 5600x/3070 GPU always updating and have no issues, playing at 2k with average 120fps almost 9-10 settings with MSAA disabled and other as i mentioned before.
