STV Event Improvements

  • Remove the beach boss spawn, it’s heavily caster biased and amplified by terrain, melee don’t even get a good chance to get to casters terrain positions. Oh the ghost locations absolutely suck.

  • Nerf healing by 30% on healing classes, considering MS is mandatory for meta comps with priests/druids/shamans.

  • Give the boss a death grip so people aren’t evading him, or permaban people who safespot the boss.

  • Fix the debuff and make it actually immune to damage/effects/cc/etc.

  • allow buffing/mounting/enabling auras, wasting multiple GCDs is ridicolous before being able to pummel people

  • add coin gain penalty if 50%+ is 1 class, allowing for more comps to exist rather than the mage suicide AE spam

Remove boss buff and altar altogether :

  • we can spread on the whole map and not have to endure the intense lagging and brainless spamming on altar
  • no more mage aoe because we won’t be gathering on the same pixel
  • allows a variety of comps not based on burst damage but also on cc

Agree with removing boss, disagree with removing altars, simply because the STV zone is big enough that people could be running around for minutes before actually finding other groups (happened during the first couple weeks of p2).
Maybe add one or two extra altars, but it is nice to have a few areas where people can go where PvP action is somewhat guaranteed while not being overwhelmed by 4827462883 other people at the same spot cause extra blood.

True, but I reckon everyone would naturally orbit around gurubashi arena even without altars.

And sit in hard to reach spots as ranged + evade everything and anything that could kill them easily. Which honestly should fall under breaking the ToS but Blizzard seems not to give a damn about BLANTANT violations of their OWN ToS. It is just trivilising the boss so badly.

30% reduce healing, that just seems silly and completely unjustified, have you ever healed an event?

A blood penalty for groups with members of the same class? what if you have no other option? many times ive had to take an extra of the same class to make a full group,

perma ban people for what??? stop trolling.

these changes just sound like youre throwing a tantrum becasue of things youve experienced, none of these would be good for the event.

Stack priests/boomies with instant heals of WG/PoM are prettymuch unkillable half the time to your own burst, not to mention your teams burst DPS. Ontop boomies have high EHP (armor+stam) and priests have dispersion. You have not played this event enough to see how difficult it is to beat the diptard meta of ranged hybrids.

read again, people literally sit ontop of troll ruins to evade mobs+boss, literally trivilising the dangers of these mobs and still free casting as if nothing can happen.

Literally half the groups are Priest/Boomie, 5 Mages spamming AE and not dying. Even grps of multiple shamans run around.

Play a melee class and try saying the same again, it is literally a caster/ranged biased clownfiesta.

i have done plenty of events on multiple characters, my main is a melee so i know all about it, when i do the event on my melee guess what, i join / make a melee cleave group and have success doing it,

if players want to avoid getting 1 shot by the boss then let them, you suggesting to perma ban them is just being childish tbh,

one of my favourite things to do is wipe full mage groups, you should try it,

like i said, these suggestions are from you experiencing things and now you’re sulking, players do the event to farm coins, they dont care about the boomkin on top of a wall.

Honestly this attitude is why people hate the STV event, abuse fast and often for maximum gain in a clownfiesta while also breaking ToS on the sideline. No wonder why people keep abusing reset/evade mechanics everywhere at any given time without Blizz giving a crap about it.

So me avoiding the boss, which if i get too close i get 1 shot and die, is against TOS and ruining the event?

people literally got told in certain locations by GMs to get off roofs/evadespots to stop avoiding NPC interference, this isn’t much different. Too bad these GMs got fired for something really dumb while making a playable game experience for players.

yeah that stuff doesn’t bother me,

i go into stv, do what i gotta do, i get rewards and so does everyone else doing it,

you’ve got worked up by something that really doesnt effect you in anyway, an event with a player in a spot that you cant reach will be the same outcome as an event with no player there,

just get on with it.

Removing the boss would be an improvement, there’s nothing more unfun than a 5 second delay on spells.

Just out of an event where boss was at the beach and I think we hit a new record of lag. A good 10 sec delay. I guess more and more players are trying to farm the event before p3, it’s simply unplayable as a melee.
Hopefully something will be done to fix those issues - mainly the lag - so that we may still enjoy the event during the next phase.

Just remove the stupid boss. STV event felt way better at the beginning of the phase. Now its just brainless zerg around the boss and you barely have time to fight and recover before having to return blood again.

The ones who will one shot all melees getting close by?

Yes if you struggle as a melee getting in range to do anything, just kill the people who are killing you before you get in range.
