Sub ending and I'm HYPED

My subscription’s running out tomorrow and I’m completely stoked. Finally came to my senses that whenever I played, I played for boredoms sake. For other people, friends etc. For negative guided moitivations, not because the game was good and made fun.
I do hope tho, that Blizzard will get back on track eventually and rediscover the spirit of WoW and even Blizzard itself after The Worldsoul saga will have ended.
Always loved Blizzard for the innovated creations they made, that let see through the developers really have thought about what they are putting out. That love ended somewhat after Overwatch 2 release. No need for explanation here. Same goes for the course of WoW developing.
I’m not even asking for that much. Just wanna be able to play the game again without the feeling of money and time getting sucked out of me, for literally a slap into my face as exchange.

Until that happens or forever goodbye

Stay safe

Why do people always feel the need to broadcast their departure. Genuinely curious.

And the fact you need to make a song and dance over your sub dropping makes me think you’re not quite done with the game. I take occasional breaks too, sometimes longer than others, but I’m not making quitting threads every time WoW goes through a patch I don’t particularly like. I just stop playing for a while…

Happy to give you some enlightment on that topic.
I don’t do this sort of stuff for myself, but for potential people who feel similar but are struggling. I know many people like me who’d probably never take such a step. And I believe there are far more out there who I do not know. “Healthy gaming” is a term not many people have ever heard about and let’s be honest, a large amount of players who play games like WoW, LoL or similar stuff in that permanent-progression-kind of area, tend to live their life in a kinda degenerate way to a more or lesser extend - of course not everyone and surely not even THE biggest part.

I surely had some breaks too, like everyone. Those breaks tho, always have been of an intrinsic nature. Didn’t feel like WoW was worth my time in that situation and wasn’t much fun for me personal.
But the reason I stop playing WoW is, because Blizzard has led on many times now, what sort of game they want retail WoW to be. A non-social game. A game with 1/10 the support it used to have many years ago. A game for cosmetics, shoven into everyones face. A superficial game. And sadly, retail is what they put 99% of their money and affort into. Classic…remix versions, that’s literally zero effort and reproductions only. That’s their justification for a monthly fee? lmao.
Instead of making a really good, thought through retail version, they split their efforts into so many peaces. There are short ends on everything Blizzard has been working on over the last couple years and the support…is not good. Probably wouldn’t start playing again if there wasn’t a monthly sub.

All the troll boys will simply be ignored so do as you please but u won’t get an answer^^

If there’s anyone who identifies with this, always think about what it is that keeps you playing and if it’s worth or not.

WoW becomes a habit when you’re just killing time — a way to cope with boredom and avoid facing the fact that something’s missing in real life, usually social connection or purpose

its only when you have other things to do In real life that you understand

I won’t even disagree with these tbh. Unless you’re willing to go out of your own way to make social connections, or use things like Discord the game can feel a bit unsocial. As where previously I felt like you could make new friends organically by just playing the game.

Either way enjoy whatever game you play next.

Show one other mmorpg which develop new contents faster than WoW, just one. Also the sub fee is unchanged since the game released.

Cosmetics for extra $$? Noone force you to buy any.

You rather sounds like someone who burned out. Take a break, its perfectly fine. I did that many times too. Next one for me after i get my house plot and finish the tmog hunt in remix. Then i resub on prepatch.

Sorry you feel that way but RNG is RNG at the end of the day however ill be following suit if they go ahead with the ret changes you can all message me for my gold in game come the time <3

Unga bunga game bad cause game no fun ! Game no fun cause game bad !

It’s like releasing a fat fart

How comes that on classic servers it is the same as on retail when it comes to social stuff

If you dont find the game fun you can just leave, you dont have to make a blog no one cares about.

You aren’t really saying anything except word salad and no one knows you so /shrug

See you in Midnight bud, have fun in the time between. /wave

Blog? I thought it was an essay .

ive quit many times my longest spell was almost 2 years

my advise, you will relapse at some point and play another game just as life sucking.

  • focus on keeping busy, even if it means going outside on your own.
  • find a passion for exploring
  • make a memento to remind yourself of your pledge
  • surround yourself with your friends.
