Sub rogue fun/viable?

Hi guys,

Do you recommend sub rogue in pve and pvp content? Do you think its a solid main spec and why? Also do you think its fun?

i think its only fun in pvp content. because of improvisation .

but in pve content shuriken storm and black powder spam or shadow dance ss evis ss evis boring for me .

actually caster specs are funny in pve content for me

You’re asking the rogue forum if rogue is fun to play :stuck_out_tongue:

I can give you some experiences though;

  • Has a fast paced adrenaline playstyle. Not that its the highest APM in the world but since you have a 1 second GCD, generally enough energy to use that GCD, and all instant spells it keeps you busy from start to finish.
  • Has a very high level of mobility through Shadowstep and Sprint.
  • Has good Single Target, great AoE, and some level of Funnel capabilities.
  • Costumary to Rogues in general is very tanky. Especially to AoE/Raid wide damage abilities.
  • Due to the way its cooldowns work you kind of have to figure your own way around boss mechanics and how best to use them.

Now if these are things that make you think “Hey, that sounds pretty cool” Then maybe Sub is something that speaks to you. If not, then maybe not. That is for you to decide :slight_smile:

Viable yes,
Fun no.

Also stay away from Assassination and Outlaw until they find a new rogue dev
