so i was getting about 100 rating per rbg win i got to 1500 and suddenly started only getting 11 rating per win ? thats really low considering the time it takes to win an rbg.
why is that ?
You have to be matchmade with people with higher or similar rating in order to get big gains. Joining pub “no cr requirements” won’t raise it fast enough.
depends on the rating you fight against say you’re 1500 and fight a rated group of 1490 you will get less rating for a win. if you fight a 1650 and you have 1500 you will get a bit more rating since you won against a higher rated team. 
see the thing is my rating is 1549 the average rating of mine and the enemy team is around 1600 and still i get 11 rating for a win i dont really get it.

11 is normal do for a 51 rating gap.
it jumped tho when i was around 1400 and the average ratings were too i got 100+ for a win which made my rating go up to 1500 something then suddenly after that very win which made me 1500 the next won rewarded me with only 11 and after that i had another win which also only have me 11.
So in order for me to achieve big gains at this point i need to win games against groups that are rated way higher than me ? if so then how is that gonna work if the system automatically tries to match the groups in a way were the average rating of both groups is somewhat close to another ?

In every rated pvp bracket you get around 100 points till you reach 1.5k. After that you get only 0-20 depending on the difference between your and your opponent’s rating.

that seems kind of tiring tbh one bg takes around 10-15 min and youre not guranteed to win. I imagine it takes a long time to get above 2k then…
It took me 63 games to reach 2.1k

You have 2 things to worry…
1 is CR ,the other is MMR.
I can’t really explain you how it works…too many words.
I’ll try with this…
Say you have 1500 cr, and your team has 1500 mmr and the opponent team has 1500 mmr. You win, you get 10 cr.
Now say next game , you have 1510 cr, same for your team’s mmr, opponent is at 1600…you win, you get 15.
Next game you are at 1525,same mmr for the team. Opponent plays at 1680mmr, you win…you get 20.
It works … progressively.
Similarly if you play as 1800 rated, against 1500 mmr and lose you lose more than what you would lose against someone at 1800 mmr, if you lose against 2k …then you lose less than losing to 1800mmr.
Also the mmr gets upwards if you win many games in a row…as it tries to provide you a challenge… however minimizing your loss the higher you go ( since your cr is lower than mmr).
If your cr is lower than mmr you gain more,lose less in CR.
If your cr is greater than your mmr ,you get less,lose more in CR.
Most ppl hardstack at some point because 1 win-1 lose, since your mmr gets up and down by the same rythm give or take.
That’s why you may see groups break after a loss… Because you need to do consecutive victories to start getting more cr game by game, while losing less if you lose.

Yeah i get how mmr works i know the system from league of legends but thanks for explaining it.
My only goal atm is to get to 1600 which im not that far away from (1541) so i can get better upgrades for my gear to help out a bit with my overall ilvl and also being able to buy gear with the correct stats isnt bad.
If there is anyone on your team with very low rating, you won’t gain more than 10-20 rating.
Hardstuck at 1250 in 2v2 with a 40% winrate.
Figures out RBGs are a free pass to rewards he doesn’t deserve because it’s the LFR of PvP but rewards mythic gear.
Complains it’s not fast enough.

See you are the exact kind of person who nobody wants to have in wow.
Someone who thinks he is important enough to be judging over ppl in an online forum after seing some random numbers on their profile but in reality not knowing **** about them.
I will try to explain my pov one single time now and i frankly dont give a damn if you get it or not, i dont have an arena partner and i am also not very experienced in wow PvP which makes it hard to even find someone to play with. Arena being full with healers and s tier classes that burst you down in miliseconds i realized i dont really have much fun with arenas, so i tried rbgs. Not only do i find myself in the top 3 damage wise in Rbgs which seems like i do deserve the rating i got to but they are also way more fun for me. After i suddenly started getting less rating i was a little confused which made me post this to have someone possibly clear it up for me, which also happened. Now after everything was cleared up you come around some random corner to flame me in an online Forum, which leaves me with the question if you really dont have anything better to do, than to flame people trying to have fun in the game and get some gear thorugh PvP.
After having said that i am done with this thread and i wish a good evening to anyone who reads this and yes even to you albeit because i wanna be a better example than you.

Edit: Also in order to get mythic level gear you would have to be at least Rival which is a rank i never aspired to get to.

How does it reward mythic gear? I mean every pvp rewards that loot after 2.1k so what’s the difference?
That’s great, glad you enjoy them. Plenty of people enjoy LFR (RBGs) as well because mythic (arena) requires partners and mechanics punish you (people know what buttons to press, unlike in RBGs). Get the similarities? Difference is LFR gives 187 gear, RBGs give up to 226 gear. Blizzard messed up by making RBGs reward more than LFR.
Because 2800 in RBGs is the same as 1600 in arena. Though I’ll agree that 2100 is too low anyway for 226.
