Prior to Dragonflight I was running WoW on max graphics settings and never had any issues - or at least never noticed any issues. With Dragonflight I’m having FPS drops constantly. Is anyone else having FPS issues and has anyone found a fix to this yet?

Are you using Direct X12 or 11?

I am having the same problem. One thing that it could be, Nvidia released a patch and it was auto optimising the games through Geforce Experience.
I know a few people who have had this problem. All my settings have been downgraded
If i change them back to how I had it. I get serious lag and massive spikes of screen freezes
Havnt solved a work around yet (Probably due an upgrade haha)

I get stutters and poor framerate in Valdrakken.

yep wow is pretty damned laggy expansion. i neverhad this much issues with lag in WoW before. And i am not just talking about the azure span wich was known to be extra laggy for everyone for a while

I have a laptop with a 1650, but I see you all other folks with better PC’s have the same problem as me. In Valdrakken I can bearly move or fly, and in battlegrounds it’s almost impossible to play.

disable ray tracing and reduce view distance and keep other setting maxed or whatever u prefer. I usually play around 1-10 view distance since it only helps to see far structures but helps enhance the performance, ray tracing isn’t well optimized for wow and u hardly notice and benefits if it’s on or off. Things to consider don’t enable MSAA it hit the gpu hard.
I will take old game engine over current graphics anyday.
Smoother gameplay>graphics (every 3-4 year your system need update that just not worth it)

They added a truck load of particle effects, so this might be a part of the issue.
Also, there are memory leaks, so that’s might be the other part of the issue.

I had the same problem, but after I updated my Nvidia that update they recently had, all FPS issues faded, give it a try, if you have an update you haven’t done.
Wanted to come back to this that I think they’ve fixed it now. I’m having 100+ fps on many zones now
