I would love it if we get an epic battleground as before. The last (Ashran) was almost 10 years ago.
Also It would be great if it were not in an instance, but in the open game world. I am thinking of a huge PvP zone as you know it in World Vs World in Guild Wars 2 or Cyrodiil in the Elder Scrolls online, with sieges, fortresses, capture the flag and also bosses (PVE) etc.
We had something similar in Cata with Tol Barad. Why isn’t that actually playable as an epic battleground at the moment?
I know WoW is more of an MMORPG, the resources of which are put in PvE content, but I think it is not much to demand to bring something new, big and cool for PvP(vE) players after 10 years.
Every expansion we get 3-6 new Zones, but either we get a little PvP activities (like now in DF) or nothing. I think its time for something new and big
I mean, we didn’t even get a new BG. Just one new arena map… woooow. Last BG we got was when? BfA?
If you consider that Raids is only relevant for an expansion, but BG’s and epic BGs are still played even after almost 20 years, it is clear to me that it is worth too make a little more for the PvP in WoW.
There are so many good and cool Ideas beside of mine, that can be a ever-green content for the pvp interested players.
I didn´t talke about Tol Barad was fun or not. Just remind us of the structure of Tol Barad, as a real open world zone with PvPvE activities. I dont want a Tol Barad 2.0. I want something more like World Vs World in Guild Wars 2 or Cyrodiil in the Elder Scrolls online. So even it dosent have to be something “innovative”. Just take best of both worlds and give it the blizz vibe.
What I would love for them to do is create a dueling zone, if you remember brawlers guild in orgrimmar where you queued and watch people do all those special bosses?
Imagine that with dueling but a few arenas (of duels) going on so you can either spectate or participate. Have a few mount or title rewards, maybe a leaderboard.
Durotar is a dead, boring scene and we need something fun in between queues.
I think a zone like that would need rewards, such as rare mobs dropping something really meaningful/valuable for the end game, so people are rewarded for spending time in those zones.
And it would be important to deincentivise cheesy gameplay, such as camping groups of premades, because you just know that would happen and suck all the fun out of the game mode.
