Suggestion for blizz: make grouping optional (not mandotary) for casual open world content

Both of new open world events (STV and incursions) requires a group, if you are playing solo, you will be like 5-10 times less effective. My suggestion is make grouping optional and not so mandotary for open world content. For STV: make solo players get 25 coins instead of 5 per kill. (For duo make 12 coins, for trio 8, etc) Most likely you will still get more coins in full group (because you killing players much faster and have a lot better survavability), but solo playing (or also duo if you have 1 friend and don’t want to fill party with pugs) will also be an option. For nightmares: not completely remove quest sharing but redisign it. If you are sharing quest with other party members, they shouldn’t have any other quests for this event, so doing only 1 quest at once, same as solo players. To compensate big xp loss, return xp to prenerf values after this change. If you have friends and want to quest together you can still do it: and you will be most likely be faster then solo players because you do quests faster as group. But it won’t be SO MUCH faster. Don’t do so much artificial benefits for groups as unlimited quest sharing, so it makes solo participation in both of those event absolutely pointless because doing it in party is like 5-10 times faster. With my suggested changes, playing in group will still be a very good option and a bit faster then doing it solo, but it will make solo or duo playing also a viable option.

Groups are optional.

You have the option of grouping and being efficient, or playing solo and not being efficient. That Classic style.

There’s a special place for people that want to play solo competitively. It’s called ‘retail’.

It’s classic version of the game, grouping with people is the basic mechanic of the game.

This is the best way to find friends in game and look for potential guilds.

They are NOT optional, for Nightmares groups mandotary becuase it is only way to stuck 10+ quests and be 10 times more effective then solo player. You will still get more xp in groups even without those artificial group benefits such as broken quest sharing because you anyway doing quests in groups faster then solo. You can do quests faster in groups it is ok, it is game mechanic. What is not ok is those artificial group benefits such as broken quest sharing.

Yes but difference shouldn’t be so much. And, in case of nightmare event, it is fully artificial

In group you should be fully concentrated on game or othewise you will slow other party members and they won’t wait you. I am playing SoD to chill, it is not retail cmon. I want go afk or do other things when i want and i don’t want to be fully concentrated on game all time doing this event. So solo play should be an option too. It can be a bit worse then playing in group (because you doing quests a bit slower) but it shouldn’t be 10 times worse because of broken quest sharing mechanic.
