First and foremost , lots of people complain about the concecration mechanic , and we can see that blizzard gave it some attention , but its not fixing much , good for movements , bad overall cause your forced to do it and its not fun.
- rework protection paladin mastery , now your divine bulwark becomes your shield and give you the same damage reduction/attack power/block chance , concecration problem solved , there is literaly no real reason to force people to stand on a circle , its just forced for absolute no reason that i know of.
- give paladins shield block on a 10second duration and a 30 second cd , 0.5 s reduction on the cd for every holy power spell used , that way we don’t have to rely on rng to block , sometimes we get nuked , sometimes we block and its still so much damage , i remember on void bound Despoiler tank buster which is shadow claw that removed 60% of my hp on a +5/6 i don’t remember well even with ardent defender on , thats just too much damage for a plate class on one mob.
- Give us hand of the protector baseline , we are supposed to be support tanks that bring utility and some heals to the group rather than just facetanking damage , all our utility i feel they should be baseline or at least hand of the protector ,if its a bad idea to offheal too much , then double the mana cost when healing allies so you have to think before offhealing too much.
- give protection paladin back his ardent defender extention for every holy power use by 0.5s , that would be a good stretch to some pulls so be able to do more big pulls , its not gonna be massive pulls but just to avoid getting nuked by tank busters and eveporate from the pack.
- i know sentinel is a rough talent with the nerfs but just remove the talent already and give the normal wings 15% dr when used for prot trees , and cut off the stack removal , and give it with full baseline crit , there is no need to have crit wings and sentinel rn , most people pick crit wings now since our damage is a bit low and the duration is not that great with the nerfs , you basicly feel like you have wings with almost no dr and hp increase once you reach that 10 seconds before wings duration fades
Those are not some busted changes , but it will give protection a room to breath , remember that tanks feel stressed and start to panick when their hp drop so fast , they are the pillar of the group including a bit healers , but tanks down whole group is dead , if the healer dies , you can still manage a bit with cds to keep up a bit and maybe finish a pack or a boss fight , im very grateful for protection paladins being in the game , one of the best fantasy tank class introduced , and i hope blizzard give them some love this next patch.
