Suggestion for world quests

Sorry for another topic on the matter.
I was hoping to get the opinions of those who since stopped reading the blue thread.

What if world quests became daily again.
2 or 3 per zone each day. And they last for that one day.

These world quests still give the same rewards as normal. However they give no rep.

Each week there is a weekly quest. The quest is to do, lets say, 7 world quests.
Completing this weekly quest gives you rep with every major faction.

I dont think much of anyone would say a couple hundred gold or a bit of gear of lower ilvl than raids/dungeons/pvp would feel manditory.
So you would only have to do the 7 each week for the rep.

Instead of having to do world quests for rep twice a week, it could be done in 1 day. This means more of your time is respected.
And you can ignore any quests that just dont seem fun to you.

And for those of us that like daily world quests, we still have them. We still have our rewards. But no one else should ideally feel they have to do more than the weekly quest asks of them.

Thoughts from those that like the current system in dragonflight?

Now imagine you’re a player like one of the vast majority who has a family at home and runs to and from work and worries all over the place and you hit the reputation cap a few months later just because you could turn the game on once or twice a week versus the likes of yourself who now want to push world quests daily for reputation. Be it on me world quests will be totally optionable and reputation will be earned over time once a week in a big weekly quest that won’t take as much time and can be completed by anyone even on the last day to make it totally fair.

I dont understand most of what youre saying if im honest. However i do want to pick out this one part.

This is not at all what i asked for in this post.
Its the opposite.

I have asked for world quests to give no rep.

Instead of each world quest giving rep, a weekly quest to do a few world quests would give the rep instead.

This would mean players who can only log on one day a week would get the same amount of rep from world quests as those who clear every world quest every day of the week.

The idea i suggested is even more beneficial to those with limited time than the current set up of world quests coming twice a week.

Unless you are proposing to make a weekly lock on a world quest where you get all the reputation that can be gained at the moment with several world quests over time for a week. I’m all for that. Let people pick one quest and do it and get reputation but have a lock like the raid.

Im suggesting that none of the world quests give rep at all.

So you complete a world quest, you get like the 200 gold or whatever the reward was. But no rep is given.

Each week there is a weekly quest to do like 7 world quests. Once youve done those 7 you get a big chunk of rep with each faction.

And that weekly quest is the only way world quests give reputation.

So if you want to do more world quests aftet doing the weekly quest, just for fun or a bit of gold you can. But it wont help towards your renown.

That sounds pretty fair.

i can’t say i like that idea. If you basicly just get the same chunk of rep every single week it doesnt feel like progress. It would feel like timegating. Atleast now you can choose to level up a specific renown for its rewards.

Like how some people did that for the tuskarr icefishing at renown 10 . If you remove the choice of wich one you would aim for or how fast you want to try to level it up it just wouldnt be as much fun

Its no more time gating than the current system of world quests being up twice a week.

You would either do them all and get the maximum amount you could get that week. Or you would choose not to.
But either way, youre timegated on how much rep they would give you.

I’m not sure they made WQs the way they are now because of renown. There’s a number of infinite rep farms and i highly doubt renown rank 25 is going to be the max. If they want to control renown rank gains they can just outright do that directly by not making them available until later, which I suspect they have already done.

The reason they said they werent going to go through with daily world quests was because it would feel manditory for those doing the new professions.

The reason it would be manditory is renown holds items needed for crafters.

I guess they think that not enough players feel grinding the hunt non stop is worth doing. But world quests are fun enough to not just nope out of

True but it would take away the illusion of choice. Instead of choosing what rep to give your preference it would be do 7 world quests and done. And even if they implement this idea 7 would be way to few. there already was a world quest weekend event wich would have you do 20 of them (i think that was the number) So i feel it would have to be a higher number than that atleast if its going to be your only source of rep .

It wouldnt be the only source of rep.
There would still be the hunt, the nomadic hunt people every 3 days.
The feast, the seige, hunting dirt piles.

All those activities would still be there
