Suggestion: Postmaster Katy

I assume suggestions on the forums largely get ignored. But I wanted to write it down anyway to see if it actually sounded cool, or if it’s just my post sleep delirious phase. XD

Findable postmaster’s goggles that allow you to see hidden mailementals grabbing loot. While wearing them, if you leave loot unattended for a short time. A mailemental appears and portals back to the postmaster. Click on that portal!
You appear in what’s left of the dalaran postmaster’s office. You have to go on a short questchain to help Katy rebuild what’s left and become the new postmaster.
The reward? A mount with a postbox on it! As well as helping Katy Stampwhistle.
Oh, and also, give us her hat. A cosmetic version. It’s a great hat. =D

Anyway, that’s all I got, hopefully someone else thinks it’s cool before I properly wake up and realise it’s probably not that cool.

I dont know who katy is or what the role of post office is in dalaran but i am all for postbox mount

You can find a “lost mail” in legion dalaran, by a postbox. Gives you a quest to get a toy mailbox. It’s good, but an hour cooldown.

Love the idea. Any thoughts what would make a suitable postman mount?

Thats a pretty fun idea, itd be great if there was extra dialog if you had done the legion quest before doing the new one.

As for a mount the only good one i can come up with would be a larger mailelemental wearing a postmans hat & a mailbag.

Man, I’d wish. It’s a 3 hour cooldown. But at least’s it’s character specific

Considering they put a mailbox on the AH bruto, I don’t think we’ll see it in another form for sometime.

I don’t actually see a problem. The AH is a hugely different thing to just having a mail box …
As for its appearance, it would probably need to be a horse to fit in with the historical pony express and various similar horse delivery systems in Europe.

Or, this would be even better!

I do have Katy but the cool-down is ridiculous …

Yeah, most likely.
Maybe a reward could be a reduction in cooldown for the toy. To 1 hour, or maybe 30 minutes. XD

Though right now there’s a bug that whenever I use her in a city, or place a campfire, they just disappear a second later.

Why tho? Mail Boxes all over citys.

I use her right next to the tinkering workbench. So I don’t have to walk the few feet to the mailbox.
Edit: Yes, really, I am that lazy.
