The best thing you can do is not react. Don’t let it bother you.
I honestly don’t care, and I rarely notice if someone spits on me. Some friends even do it affectionately xD

i dont really see a point in removing the spit emote. emotes are a way to express yourself, especially in rp and i dont think people should be limited by that. imo we need even more emotes, good and “bad”, not less.
i mean, why stop at spit? why not remove all the other emotes which can be interpreted as “rude”?
i dont really understand why people get triggered by emotes in a video game. just ignore it and if they spam, report it.
Even if they do that, you can literally just type “/e spits on you.” at any time they want. In fact, it’s my favorite trolling method on Classic whenever people are waiting for worldbuffs in Stormwind.
At the end of the day, people will manage to bother someone else, given it’s an online game.
Can’t say I agree.
Spamming emotes is rather infantile though, so if they could filter the spit trains I’d be fine with that. But removing it is a no go.
Not that I use it often. I rather use /rasp when people annoy me.
Whatever they choose to do, I want it to be either one of these two things:
Wish they’d add more sounds to emotes. Spit one included.
please grow up and grow thicker skin.
If you buying mount or/and loot from game store I can only tell you…
/spit
So with all of the issues that are currently plaguing WOW, you come on here to rant about an emote that does nothing but type in local?? Get your priorities straight and focus on the real in game issues.
Hmm…
It’s always gratifying to be vindicated.
This thread crops up from time to time. Still a no from me.
I use the /spit emote when someone’s being horrible to me, because that’s the type of thing my character would do as a response. It’s a role-playing game.
If you want to remove this, remove /flirt, /kiss, /boop, /hug, custom emotes, every emote that implies non-consensual contact, since that’s what’s bothering you so these should as well. And remove all chats as well, or implement extremely heavy censorship that stops people from saying anything that would warrant a /spit emote as a response.
I like that I can just end any unwanted stupidity with a quick /spit. /no and /rude have never worked, don’t kid yourselves. Unsavoury people will always think you like it if you just stand there and take it. Especially if you’re waiting at a summoning stone so you can’t really run away either.
You cannot stop people from showing their emotions either way. Once you start, it’s hard to know where to stop. Every emote offends someone.
Frig off, carebear!
SJWs should be removed by blizzard, already too many of you utter garbage people in real life. No need to deal with that same s*hit ingame as well.
Spit can be satisfying to use in PvP, would be lying if I said I didn’t use it sometimes
You don’t sound very pleasant yourself.
Instead of requesting /spit removal since you can’t handle it, I recommend a much more suitable alternative.
Raise the level of your tolerance. I’ve been spat on in pvp a lot. I don’t care. I move on. If you’re that traumatized by an emote, just report then.
I hope I never used it on you hehe
Don’t worry. Even if you did, I neither cared nor was annoyed. And i don’t report people for spit either. That method is reserved for super delicate flowers who can’t handle a small in chat message after an emote.
There an addon to block emotes you don’t like? Never tried with BadBoy’s filter.
/spit
no, i spit on the enemy!
In fact, i have a macro that when i trigger a particular ability in Battle Grounds, i spit on you.
I also have one that does the chicken emote when a rouge is hiding or saps me.
sometimes i play wm on , i HATE AND DESPISE pvp and i think it is 100% lame, i go wm on because my m+ group also does so i can help with summons, i dont hit or interact with anyone and if someone does try to kill me even though i have not done anything bad to them then i will spam my /spit macro and gank kill them with the rest of my team because they deserve it. you live by the sword you die by the /spit ,its only fair.
if you want to play pvp then go duel someone play arena or bg but trying to kill some unsuspecting dude in the open world just makes you lame ,even if you win ,so yea /SPIT !
