Suggestions to make Warlocks (mainly destruction) more mobile as we are currently pretty punished in fights where we have to move a lot:
Channel Demonfire → Orb of Demonfire. instead of a channeled cast it can be an instant/quick cast that launches an orb infront/above the Warlock, the orb channels 15 bolts of demonfire to targets affected by immolate for 2,3 sec (same as before but removes the channeling).
Darkfury talent should make Shadowfury instant, wouldn’t mind if this was added to the talent as it is. Could also Just remake the talent so that the only thing it does is to make it instant, if it would be too strong otherwise.
Burning rush could add an element of the old Hellfire spell. When Burning rush is activated it engulfs the Warlock in flames, giving the warlock a movement speed increase as well as causing the warlock and nearby enemies some amount of damage. This way our only speed increase is not only there to kill us but also offers a small reward?
Grimoire sacrifice offers too little in return compared to what it sacrifices. It could offer the caster to gain the ability to cast the next 2 (?) incinnerate spells while moving.
Obviously bringing all of these changes and suggestions into the game might turn us inte godlike creatures that instakills everything while moving. However, some of these suggestions might still be warranted.
Note: I mostly play Destruction, so cant really say a lot about the other specs so feel free to drop some ideas for demo and perhaps also aff.
Whenever I see these posts, all the over powered rubbish that gets suggested makes me cringe. This Burning Rush suggestion is actually pretty good, though. Even if it’s an insignificant effect designed more for flavour than dealing damage, it makes perfect sense. It’s definitely one of the best warlock suggestions I’ve seen for a while
Snarks aside, Destro does need to some love in the mobility department, hell I think Warlock as a whole needs to be reworked as each of our specs doesn’t really feel good.
