Subject: Feedback & Suggestions for Improving Mythic+ Experience
Body:
Hi Blizzard Team,
First of all, thank you for your continued work on World of Warcraft and Mythic+. I really enjoy the game, but I’d like to provide some constructive feedback regarding Mythic+ dungeons, specifically the group creation, reward system, and progression across characters.
1. Group Formation & Queue Time
Finding or forming a Mythic+ group often takes 30–60 minutes, which can be very frustrating.
Suggestion: Introduce a matchmaking system similar to raid LFG, which automatically matches tanks, healers, and DPS based on key level, dungeon, and player availability.
Additionally, players offering their keys should be able to set requirements for other group members, such as a minimum Mythic+ rating, to ensure fair and compatible group composition.
2. Guaranteed Rewards
Currently, it’s possible to spend a long time running a dungeon and not receive any gear, which reduces motivation.
Suggestion: Ensure that every player receives at least one gear drop per run.
To avoid surplus or unwanted items, implement a scrapper system:
Destroy gear you don’t need to receive tokens.
Collect, for example, 5 tokens to purchase a piece of gear of your choice that reflects your Mythic+ rating.
3. Cross-Character Progression
Currently, alt characters benefit very little from your main character’s progress.
Suggestion: Introduce a vendor system where alts can purchase certain items or materials at reduced cost, allowing faster progression and lower upgrade expenses.
Additional motivation aspect: For many players, the ability to quickly bring alts to higher gear levels is a major incentive to keep playing. If alts must start completely from scratch without faster progression, it reduces motivation and may lead players to spend time in other games instead of playing WoW.
4. Class-Specific/Crafted Items
Crafted items are often locked to your main specialization, limiting flexibility across different specs.
Suggestion: Allow crafted gear stats to be modified to fit different specializations. This way, players can use their best crafted items across specs without losing effectiveness.
5. Solo Content Option
Many players struggle to access high-level Mythic+ or raiding content due to reliance on groups.
Suggestion: Introduce solo content similar to Delves, where players can play unlimited and earn gear equivalent to at least normal raid difficulty, allowing a smoother progression into higher Mythic+ and raids without depending on other players.
6. Additional Thoughts
Provide more visibility and incentives for tanks and healers in group formation, as DPS roles are usually easier to fill.
Improve filters and interface in the Premade Group Finder (PGF) for Mythic+, allowing players to queue for multiple groups simultaneously.
I believe these changes would significantly improve the Mythic+ experience, reduce frustration, and increase long-term engagement. Thank you for considering this feedback!
I understand that some people use AI to formulate their thoughts, especially when English isn’t their first language.
However, in my personal opinion, you should make an effort to make it less obvious and ideally, significantly more concise.
It’s hard to say why exactly, but AI models tend to overexplain and add a bunch of verbosity for no reason.
A lot of these ideas have been requested before (an auto-matchmaking system for instance) and some would fundamentally change gear progression entirely, not necessarily for the best.
To speak on the matchmaking element specifically, having a queue would not increase the amount of tanks and healers, so much like the dungeon tool, you would still have a significant wait, especially at lower key levels.
Thanks for the answer it was just for formulating my thoughts and it is not for a university degree so i dont really care about AI. I think anyone gets the points tho.
Not to be offensive or insult you or anyone else with a similar system in mind but in being a little more on the realistic side; no tank who is a tank would ever sign up to a Russian Roulette styled dungeon pool/system when they all know well enough that the chances of getting a ‘bad group’ will be incredibly high
Then pretty much any tank who will sign up to the blind system will be a new or noob tank if you prefer; someone dipping there toes in the water so to speak, of which I can guarantee will make errors while the dps will flame the crap out of him/her, putting them off ever trying again
In theory maybe it would work but realistically any and every tank knows exactly how this would play out and I guarantee WILL NEVER SIGN UP without one heck of an incentive package from Blizzard; an epic mount for the season, gear tokens so they can gear faster etc. Even then it would be limited sign ups
Yes there is. Anyone posting stuff with ChatGPT dosent deserve my respect. NOT using AI slop is something people learn in school. If they did not get that memo yet, then they did not pay attention in school.
And then, anyone that thinks that wait times will be reduced somehow with a matchmaking system hasent used 2 neurons to think a little about what they are saying.
Looks like “matchmaking” thread is back on the menu boys.
They struggle because they are bad. People hate to hear it, but most players are bad. High level m+ starts at (imo) +18, because at that level you cant brute force the key anymore, need a strong comp and need to know what you are doing.
So…delves? You literally get hero track gear via coffers and vault.
Ultimately the biggest problem is: there are no tanks. That needs to get fixed before we demand more change.
At least I can understand what he is writing. There are people in the forum who just smashes a few words together in hopes it will make a sentence. And he is not getting any better either. I’m not saying everyone has to use AI if their first language is not english but they could at least use some translator instead.
This guy atleast tried to make a nice understandable post. Why does it matter what he used?
People dont need to say it. I can see it in how the text is constructed.
He could have written something on his native language and ask google translate, or even chatgpt to translate it for him.
But that would not have created such parragraphs. You would see errors in grammar. And definetly not such a well structured post with bullet points even.
Ok bro i went to school and my english isnt so bad aswell but i just wanted a grammaticly understandable post. So i wrote my thoughts on chat gpt and asked it to formulate an understandable Post with a few suggestions on top and this came out. I think these suggestions wouldnt hurt anyone so i dont understand why u need to be so offensive. Maybe no work and family and enough time to play wow so these ideas will not make you happy but others sure would enjoy atleast some of them. Have a nice day
Should be something YOU can do with out ChatGPT’s assistance.
So next time you tell me you have an education, atleast PROVE it by using that education in a forum.
You dont have to write a PHD. You can write any nonsense you want. And badly written. But if I wanted ChatGPT’s opinion on something, I would ask ChatGPT. Not Kixxia.
Excuse me? Im married. 2 kids. Play WoW 4h a week.
But I RESPECT myself enough to actually write MY opinion here. With MY words. NOT ChatGPT’s slop.
Cause I DID get an education. And I use that education. Speaking of which, I know exactly how ChatGPT works. And what it actually produces. It’s a factory of fake news and baseless lies.
And that is why I am so against ChatGPT slop in any way, shape or form. And so should YOU. IF you had an education that is. Because if you DID, you would know this stuff by now.
So your old man hate against chatgpt is blocking this thread to have a constructive conversation. Nice. Thanks mate you are really a wise grownup who doesnt need chatgpt. Congrats.
Just get over it and domt waste my time i want to make suggestions that may help game get better and not discuss the use of chatgpt with a boomer
