I have tried it several times now.
And it seems that world quest does not popup when you enter area with the event.
Hence, when boss is killed it does not count towards achievement “Back to the Depth!”

Same for me. Tried with different chars, warmode on / off and more.
It simply won’t give the quest that you are supposed to get when standing next to the boss area, so you can progress the achievement.
