Hello,

This is just another topic for Fire Mage Legendary “Sun King’s Blessing” bug. There are multiple problems with the legendary.

  • Tooltip clearly states "After consuming 8 Hot Streaks, your next non-instant Pyroblast cast within 15-sec grants you Combustion for 6 seconds. Well, in reality, this works after we consume the 9th Hot Streak.
  • Also, a Hot Streak can be consumed by Flame Strike. So the legendary should count Flame Strike usages for building up Combustion.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I am sick of this … the bug has been reported for how long, and no one trying to fix it.

Don´t tell me that there isn´t some if a condition or switch-case for consuming hot streak and some list for the spell which consume the hot streak…

Excatly! Many mages know about it, report it and still no change … it s shame.

Rewrite the proper description or repair it as it says in it .

Yep.
Its a shame, cuz this legendary sounds alot more fun then disciplinary command.
well, maybe in 9.1.5 they will fix it :lying_face:

I’ve attempted to let more people know about this but at this point I’m out of ideas on how to get Blizzard to notice. Apparently mass reporting the problem (during PTR) and making YouTube Videos/Livestreams about how the Legendary isn’t working as intended isn’t enough for it to get noticed.

Sad reality is, there’s a lot of potential for the legendary to be good, but by the time it gets fixed it’ll probably be way too late.

I agree, just the idea of when you could have a proc on the skb during aoe rotation. And overall, if it worked as it should, we would currently have one of the strongest venthyr covenants + more interesting legendary than DC, and the ability to play frost mage.

Anyway, I am staying venthyr fire skb mage and i hope for some miracle about fix.

Holy hell, they actually fixed it!

I wonder if they changed something else and it just fixed SKB as a byproduct, there’s no mention of it in the hotfix notes.

depend on my test its stacking when use flamestrike and only 8 stack.

yes. this build very rng depend and work very well with haste crit. even with that fix might be op.

Anyone else notice that you can trigger the Combustion by hardcasting a Flamestrike, despite the legendary making no mention of it?

That’s probably a new thing that came from them making flamestrikes from hot streaks add stacks. I wonder if activating it that way is a DPS increase when you do not have a pyroclasm.
