Super excited for Survival PVP in 10.1!

I think the SV changes are a fantastic start (of course more are needed)

  • You can have Roar of Sacrifice baseline (1 more talent point open)
  • The new “Sticky tar” sounds amazing. When 2 melees are on top of your healer (or you), you can disarm one of them for 4 sec from 40y away, and after 4 sec if they are still BOTH stacked on whoever they’re training, the other one gets disarmed for 4 sec! I think that’s genius! Great design as this is a 50% shorter disarm than the other classes (whose is 6 sec), but can spread to an additional melee (or more than one in BGs). This is a great way to provide utility without copy/pasting existing abilities and just renaming them!
  • The new Interlope sounds fantastic! I already play Interlope to eat pala stuns or lock coils with the pet, and the new improved version will be even better as it won’t last 3 sec but 3 spells. Shaman uses Stormkeeper - interlope and pre-hot the pet! Yes, it will not be usable on other players any more, as that would be super OP, like making your healer un-CC-able for a long time, but will be a lot of extra defense for the hunter.

With these 2 PVP talents alone, they have addressed major aspects of SV survivability - vs melees and vs casters respectively. And you’d have the talent point to take any of the two due to the Roar of Sac change.

Overall, I would say great job so far! Keep up the good work!

Cheers

Interlope is good, but i swear it was there before, but in all honesty it really is only good for SV. Even then though, it requires you to make a significant rejig of your talents to utilise that talent and take RoS. RoS should have just been given baseline tbh.

Before it was “redirects spells for 3 seconds” and now it is “redirects the next 3 spells” which is so much better.

About the talent points - taking Roar of Sacrifice will require no changes for MM and SV, as they need 1 point anyway to get down to the next row of talents, so this point will be Roar of Sacrifice (instead of f.e. Binding Shackles). However, BM needs Binding shackes to go the the left side of the tree, thus must free the point from something else.

i dunno about that, isnt roar being a class talent node with hunter avoidance ?

unless you mean 1 more pvp talent option

this will kill the pet more now though…
